What a great idea for an economical family restaurant. Nothing fancy, just simple pasta dishes made fairly well. Of everything on the menu, we found the Rigatoni Bolognese the best. This is a great place to bring the kids, and luckily it has been a success and expanded to three locations now.

For all the exemplary press, I was surprised how small and unassuming this place was. And there was no line! I also found the the staff service to be very sincere and friendly. I ordered a combination of chocolate and the banana ice cream. The chocolate was excellent and the banana was good, but not especially noteworthy. But, it did ...

If I lived in SF, I would gain 10 lbs. from my debilitating addiction to Tartine's morning buns. If you're within walking range of this bakery, go. Wait in line if you have to -- it's so worth it. Other items I like: the bread pudding and the almond croissants.

Charles Phan I believe is ethnic Vietnamese Chinese, but understands the fundamentals of Vietnamese cooking. However he is kind of like Martin Yan, more of a savvy businessman who understands his target demographic and fans. What he is doing, is somewhat similar to Martin Yan's approach, and that is to broaden the appeal of Vietnamese food but yet make it ...

I've only had Blue Bottle ONCE but I still remember it. I remember it being the one thing that I had written down for my list of to do's before I embarked on my second road trip to San Francisco (I had learned about it from a friend). Wonderful coffee. I like the set-up of the shop. Bonus: they brew ...

I came here awhile ago for a catch up dinner with some college friends. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. I remember ordering the skate, but in my opinion it was someone bland. Cook well, but bland as vanilla pudding. I will give this place another chance since their fried chicken is suppose to be scrumptious. ...

Nopa dishes up some of the best brunch fare in the city. Unfortunately, everyone knows this and it's nearly impossible to get a quick reservation, so book your table a month out or be prepared to wait several hours to eat.

Elevated Neapolitan pizza has become all the rage here in San Francisco, but Pizzeria Delfina's rises above the rest with their simple but spot on take of the classics. I am a big believer that if you want to know how great a place is at pizza try the Margherita, I have done this all over the world and let ...

What an amazing experience at Gary Danko! It was like an explosion of so many different flavors in my mouth. My fiance and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here and each got the three courses for $66 paired with an awesome half bottle of wine. The wine selection is a bit pricey, ours was $70, but well worth every ...
