    Burgerville

0.08 mi from Red Lion Hotel Portland Convention Center

Every time I'm in Portland I make sure I go to Burgerville, often for my first meal. It's fresh beef with local Tillamook cheese. The milkshakes are the real thing and thick, and, if marionberries are in season, you can try the local treat. This burgerville is across the street from the Convention Center.

One of my favorite restaurants in Portland. The food is always amazing (I recommend the bacon wrapped dates, flat bread, and squid ink pasta!) and the service is impeccable. It's usually quite busy (an average of an hour wait) especially on weekends, so pop in to put your name on the list and head upstairs to The Secret Society for ...

Long lines but makes a great souvenir! The doughnuts are good and the line doesn't take that long. Be prepared for locals walking by and saying things like "who would line up for a doughnut?!" Ignore them the doughnuts are pretty awesome.

A quirky Portland favorite, this music-themed coffee house is famous for its good coffee, delicious treats, and smattering of fun-house tables that turn or rise imperceptibly while you dine and chat. For added fun, don't mention the tables to your companions when you take them there and watch their faces when, halfway through their sentence, they realize their coffee cup ...

Great place to stop for one of the best coffees in Portland, like this artfully done mocha. Got some to take home with me.

Portland has always had food carts, especially in its downtown area, but these days there are hundreds of these little pop-up restaurants all over town. There's a huge amount of variety, with food carts serving everything from deep-fried pies to Korean-Mexican fusion fare. They're often located in "pods," which are usually old parking lots with central seating areas and an ...

This is one of the best dining experiences you can have in Portland. The restaurant is really quaint, so I would advise recommendations or be prepared to sit at the bar. I sat at the bar and loved it because I was able to see my food being prepared. The chefs are extremely skilled and serve some amazing dishes that ...

The wait on a Sunday morning was nearly an hour and a half. The food was good, but wouldn't normally have been worth the wait, however they provide coffee and a seating area, plus they will text you when a table opens up so you can walk around nearby. The decor was really cool and I would probably go again, ...

Le Pigeon's sister restaurant did not disappoint one bit! Fantastic late night dining experience in downtown Portland! Late night happy hour is the way to go! :) Super easy to get to since we were staying at one of the many hotels in the area. I got a map that told me about all the places to eat within an easy walk of the Convention Centre. Since I wasn't in the mood for Red Robin or Applebee's, I took the Trimet into town and decided to try Huber's Cafe. Huber's was established in 1879 and only 20 years after Oregon received Statehood. This place was ...

Always packed, so you should expect a wait, but as far as reasonably priced and delicious Middle Eastern food goes, this is a great place for a cheap date. Larger groups run into the problem of having space found for them, but I've found that parties of three or four don't have too much trouble getting in. The platters are ...

Interesting menu with a whole lot of simple, no-nonsense dishes. I really liked the concept of the fried kimchi but ours came really salty (maybe the covered the already salty kimchi with salted batter?). Ramen came a little salty too but overall the taste for both dishes were pretty good. I would come here again hoping that the chef that ...

Small restaurant, located next to the famous Mary's club, for which they provide the food for Mary's patrons. Hot Lips is among Portland's best pizza joints, and they have locations all around the city. They serve pizza pies and pizza by the slice, breadsticks, focaccia, salads, and a decent selection of microbrews. They also make their own fruit-based soda pop, which is sometimes available on tap. There are usually a couple of vegetarian options and a vegan option, ...
