You have not seen a movie the way it was meant to be viewed until you've seen it here (aka FOX Theater) in Westwood. I cannot count the number of movies I've seen here on their opening nights. Getting tickets a week in advance and standing in line for hours so we would get our prime spots dead center in this grandiose theater. There's so much old Hollywood glamour preserved in here. A lot of the blockbuster movies hold their premieres here, so you should definitely head over to take a peek at who's walking down the red carpet.

Tuesdays and sundays are only $1.50. Other days are $3.00. Cheap to come for matinee shows for new movies.

The regency theaters screen older movies at a lower price. So you can see films at rental price but without the wait.

Love how convenient this location is for ucla students. It is a very beautiful theatre with a stunning layout. It may seem small but in reality, it is a lot larger and spacious inside - two floors and an amazingly large screen. If you have a chance to watch a movie here, seize the chance to because it is really an amazing experience that you will be pleasantly glad you did.

This is THE place to catch a movie on opening night. The exterior and interior of the the theater are incredible. It makes watching a movie here feel really special, especially on opening night. I have lots of fond memories of waiting in line to catch movies here. While waiting in line you can always grab food from In-N-Out or cookies from Diddy Riese.

Description

Built in 1930, and opened in 1931, Regency's Village Theatre has been a popular location to see movies for several generations of moviegoers. Across the street from the Bruin Theatre, the Village was a part of the old Fox Theatres circuit and played the best of the Fox Studio's films. The Fox name still lights up the top of the theatre today. The most striking feature of the Fox Theater is the ... read more
iconic 170-foot white Spanish Revival/Modern tower which looms over the Broxton and Weyburn Avenues intersection. Atop the tower is a blue and white metal Art Deco “Fox” sign, which was renovated in the late 1980s. Halfway up the tower there are carved winged lions which sit at the base of projecting columns. At the bottom of the tower just above the entrance is a blue and white sign with the legend "Fox Westwood Village". By night the elegant white tower literally becomes a beacon with its signs and the shaft of the tower illuminated.
