This hostel is a stunning oasis of comfort and cleanliness amidst a precarious backpacker world. This is one of the only cases in which it will ever be OK to sleep in a 25 person dormitory. You get your own private pod-like bed with a curtain and plenty of storage space. The free breakfast is remarkable. Actually, so are the showers and so is the rooftop bar! The bar has a great view of the city and the Petronas towers, and the drinks are sold cheaply. Please note, this is a party hostel but you needn't avoid it if sleep is your friend as it is big enough to avoid the noise on request. Easily the best hostel I have ever stayed in.

A clean, comfortable and well-run backpacker spot, this iteration of Chinatown's Reggae Guesthouse is a good budget choice for anyone looking to be in the thick of things in KL. Free internet, free breakfast, and all the usuals. Dorms and private rooms (no ensuite, though!) available.
