Schlegelstraße 26, 10115 Berlin, Germany

When I come to Berlin I usually exist on burgers, pizza, bratwursts and beer as they are all just so good here but this is a step up on the dining ladder for me. Reinstoff is glamorous and has one Michelin star, in the middle of an old factory building the atmosphere is lux but relaxed so you can enjoy ...

An excellent way to get around the city, the S-Bahn compliments the U-Bahn, tram and bus network to form a well-integrated transport network. The S-Bahn has an interesting history; during the Cold War it was controlled by the East German government (even in West Berlin), which lead to many Wessies boycotting the trains.

A good place to go when the weather is nice. There's a square and a park in front of it, you can grab books and drinks to sit here for a peaceful afternoon. That would be awesome. However this gate is not too much exciting if you just wanna go there to see the gate.

Really beautiful architecture. As a tourist from Asia, I'm totally impressed by this architecture style here. As you would imagine, it is very different from Asian design type. It's very beautiful!

What used to be grim during the DDR days (when it was called Marz-Engel-Platz), Hackescher Markt has been gentrified within an inch of its life and has become a bustling square filled with cafes and restaurants. There are good places to eat here, and during the summer it's a lovely place to grab a pizza and beer whilst people watching. ...

What used to be a drab street in East Berlin has been reborn and revitalised over the past 20 years - a walk up it will take you from Checkpoint Charlie, up past lots of shopping and the overpriced and pretentious Galleries LaFayette (choco-lovers should detour to side streets for Ritter Sport World and Fassbinder & Rausch, everyone should detour ...

An impressive documentation centre stands at a famous location of the Berlin Wall - it was here that the Wall was built incorporating apartment buildings on Bernauer Straße (you may have seen the dramatic video of the woman leaping from a window to escape). Across the street from the documentation centre is a remaining stretch of the Wall which, if ...

The Höfe (courtyards) were built in 1906 and are worth the visit – they’re little inter-connecting courtyards with gorgeous tile facades. They fell into disrepair after the war and during the East German era, but have now been beautifully restored and house quaint cafes and shops. Very much worth a visit and wander through. There’s a good-sided Ampelmann shop inside ...

The Bundestag (Parliament) of Berlin is housed in the Reichstag building, which is very much worth a visit on its own. You can arrange to visit a plenary session, and I'd also suggest booking a tour of the building - the guides are knowledgable and interesting and have a good sense of humour. You need to book your tickets in ...
