The Renaissance is in a prime midtown location as it's right off of West Peachtree Street. I really liked the modern vibe of this hotel. All the decor was super chic. The staff here were friendly but on the day I came to visit they were fully booked so I couldn't see a room. This hotel is close to the GA Tech campus, Piedmont Park and has a restaurant and cocktails on its rooftop, which is pretty cool! This is a pretty chic location but if you can book this place during one of their promotions you could stay here for less than $100 bucks a night.Recommended for:

All I can say is ‘wow.’ I was really impressed by the Renaissance, but I think it might be hard not to be. The hotel is located right on Peachtree Street in midtown, in my estimation one of the best areas in the city, for a lot of reasons. First of all, you’re in walking distance from a lot of the city’s best features, including the Fox Theatre and Piedmont Park. For food, you’re about a block away from one of the city’s most famous restaurants: The Vortex. You really can’t ask for a more Atlanta experience.
As for the hotel, the Renaissance gives a taste of luxury in midtown. The rooms are hyper modern and nice, and the room I was in had a great view of the city. But the best part was the bathroom, which features a full-on glass walk-in shower. The hotel is pretty massive: 21 floors and more than 300 rooms, and the staff were always on their toes during my visit.
Here’s something I don’t like about higher end hotels like the Renaissance: wi-fi access is far from free at about $15 a day. I don’t want to be nickel and dimed if I’m already paying $200ish a night.Recommended for:

What do you get when you combine the luxury and uniqueness of a boutique hotel with the Marriott name? The Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown, of course! Did I mention it is the only true boutique hotel in downtown?
This is a stunning addition to the Marriott family in Atlanta. Settled in a prime downtown location you have easy access to all major highways, the financial district, the arts district, and the airport.
The relaxing, yet upbeat music begins your sensory experience as you enter the lobby. You are transformed to another space away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Atlanta streets.
The rooms are comfortable, modern, warm, and inviting. There is a true sense of balance in the design with each element speaking to the other without competition. The soaking tub in the executive suite is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day at work or shopping.
If you would like a celebrity sighting while you are staying, you don’t have to go far. The hotel restaurant “Briza” is home to executive chef, Janine Falvo from Bravo’s Top Chef. Her “farm to fork” philosophy is present in every handcrafted dish.
The English inspired 866 Rooftop Bar and Lounge is a unique space among the downtown buildings. The spiral staircase leading you up invites into this special oasis.
Treat your five senses to a visit in this very special downtown property.Recommended for:

I liked this place. It was right next to Georgia Tech, which has its pros and cons. There's a hip vibe which makes it feel a little like it wants to be a W, but it wasn't overwhelming. The staff is nice and there was a grocery store a couple of blocks down, which was really convenient when I was short on supplies. I'd stay here again.
