Grand dining areas, spacious rooms and lovely fresh flowers in the lobby. Seems to be a popular wedding reception destination and I can certainly see why! It's situated between the West End and downtown, so it's a great location for site seeing and the staff is really friendly.

Despite its palace courtyard entrance and the opulent lobby designed with stunning marble architecture, this Renaissance is certainly overrated. Included are 356 generally spacious and functional guestrooms fitted with marble bathroom, though furnishings are rather outdated and walls so thin that neighbors’ pillow-talk easily reaches through. For modern French cuisine, the Pearl Restaurant & Bar serves lunch and dinner on an elegant décor adorned with chandeliers and shimmering curtains of real pearls. The classic CC Bar offers a modest selection of cocktails and wines by the glass. A good Fitness Center along with a lush day Spa are inviting facilities onsite. Management is impersonal and rigid, and the front desk team seems confused regarding their roles. Both the Chancery Lane and Holborn underground Stations are minutes by foot. Close by are popular places such as Covent Garden, the British Museum, Soho, Leicester and Trafalgar Squares, Royal Opera House, Tate Modern, and The London Silver Vaults.

The courtyard, liveried doormen, marble floors and crystal chandeliers all create a luxurious, classic atmosphere at the Renaissance Chancery Court. A comfortable lounge is equipped with newspapers, perfect for the Exxon Mobil meetings that were going on when I was here. All in all, comfortably luxurious with a slightly corporate feel, mixed with lots of vacationers milling around the lobby in their shorts.
