A luxury choice in a stretch of central Tel Aviv that is full of luxury choices, the Renaissance is beautiful and classy. Right on the water, with incredible views from the lobby and from your room this place says "beach vacation!" The hotel isn't the shiniest or newest of the fancy hotels on this stretch of beach but there is something comfortable and secure about it - like woman gracefully entering her golden years. Each of the rooms has a nice little porch, perfect for watching the people play up and down the beachfront. The rooms offer funny little vending-machine mini-bars that are apparently a hit with guests. The restaurant and bar offer sea views with lots of comfortable places to sit and meet friends and the small, glass enclosed business center is a nice balance of public and private space for doing a bit of work during your visit.Recommended for:

Right on Gordon Beach. One of my favorite hotels. The balconies have fantastic views. The gym has a steam room, a huge plus!!! A great free breakfast. Walking distance to almost everything in Tel Aviv.

The Renaissance Hotel's lobby is stunning. The first thing that struck my eye when I entered the hotel was the wall of windows facing the sparkling sea. It's a great touch and very calming. There's also a piano in the lobby. Check out the colorful mosaics in the elevator. Each one has a different design. The front desk was helpful and attentive, giving special attention to each patron. Despite the generally musty feeling in the hallways, the rooms are lavishly decorated and very comfortable. All of the rooms have sea views and private balconies. The Renaissance Hotel has an indoor pool, a gym and a spa. It also has several different restaurants to choose from, including one that is entirely vegetarian. Beware, the charges for wifi are quite steep.
