When I first arrived at the Renaissance Waverly I was immediately taken by this art that was sculpted into the side of the building. I received a very warm welcome from the staff outside and was immediately impressed by how beautiful the hotel was on the inside. There's a restaurant here, a book store and fresh lemonade for guests. I decided to stop here just before having lunch across the street at Corner bakery. Directly across from the hotel there are a ton of places to eat and shop including my favorite yogurt spot -- Pinkberry. The day I visited the hotel was extremely busy and there was a convention going on. It was so busy the man at the front desk didn't have a moment to show me a room. I gathered from an impatient hotel guest who was in line behind me that the front desk had been slow throughout his entire stay. I'm not sure if this was typical or if they were just overwhelmed with convention guests. Still, this was a really nice hotel and it's also close to the interstate and Cumberland Malll.

I was blown away by the Renaissance, a beautiful luxury hotel in Northwest Atlanta.
I love atrium style hotel buildings, and the Renaissance Waverly is a beautiful example of that design. All 14 floors look down into a massive, open atrium area that links to restaurants, bars, a huge spa area, and even a few stores.
The rooms were particularly fancy and beautiful. There was a 42” television and a very modern desk alongside decorations and styling that was very clearly regularly updated and modern – the room felt like it was from a hotel that had just been built.
You can find plenty to do in the hotel without ever leaving the building. I think I counted three restaurants, a Starbucks, and at least one full service bar. The hotel even has its own UPS store if you’ve got an errand to run. Plus, the hotel is connected to the galleriaRecommended for:

I stayed for a conference so although it is probably not the best choice of visiting the city of Atlanta the hotel was beautiful and my room was amazing! Large room with a king sized bed and large panoramic windows.Recommended for:

The staff was very available and accommodating when I visited, and their spa facilities were impressive: massage rooms, racquetball courts, and an indoor and outdoor pool (the outdoor pool is a little tricky to find since its up three flights of stairs). Also, their suites are enormous—with two bathrooms, a living room, microwave and mini fridge and huge windows for loads of natural light. I loved the modern décor in the room and little touches like complimentary spa water at check-in. And, perhaps most importantly, the hotel is connected to great restaurants at the Galleria and right across the street from Cumberland Mall, but I did not ever hear the busy interstate from the room!Recommended for:

The Renaissance Waverly Hotel is a location I stay at least once a year for an annual festival I attend. The location is incredible for anyone attending a conference at the Cobb Galleria Center. The hotel literally attaches to the conference center and is across the street from Cumberland Mall and there is free parking!
The hotel and amenities are very nice, and the rooms have recently been updated with some fun new accent pieces. The beds are comfortable and linens are great. The hotel has an Italian design feel with the Medici restaurant and tusca blu bar. The spa here is great!
I have had mixed customer service at this hotel, and that concerns me for a location that conducts so much business with conferences. Most recently I requested a double room at check-in, was told the room was double when the room keys were given, and when I returned a few hours later after checking into the conference the room was a king. Four people were staying in this room together. All rooms were booked and the only solution was a roll-away bed. The hotel did comp one night after I presented a list of seven grievances for a two night stay.
Overall, this a good hotel. However, when dealing with a large conference the staff can get overwhelmed.Recommended for:
