Residence Inn Portland Downtown/Lloyd Center

1710 NE Multnomah Street, Portland, OR 97232

4 reviews

Residence Inn is in a good location. Almost nothing in Portland is more than 15 minutes away from here. It's very central but also feels a little secluded from near by I-5. Lloyd Center, the convention center, and the shops, restaurants and grocery stores of Broadway are all in walking distance. The apartments are fully furnished and equipped for cooking. ...

Easily the best place in town. This French inspired restaurant has a constantly changing seasonal menu. The open kitchen provides you with a mini show of sorts watching the chefs prepare the unique and interesting dishes served here. They defiinitely aren't afraid to experiment.

Outstanding grilled food and side dishes. One of the best places to eat in Portland. For a special night out on the town this is #1 for me. It is expensive but worth it.

    Doug Fir Restaurant

0.71 mi from Residence Inn Portland Downtown/Lloyd Center

    9 reviews

The Doug Fir is named after the state tree and with its cosy, wooden pannel interiors it looks better suited for a winter ski resort than for its industrial close-in eastside location. The bar is decent and they have really good shows in their basement venue. It's a good place to catch local and international acts before they make it ...

Always packed, so you should expect a wait, but as far as reasonably priced and delicious Middle Eastern food goes, this is a great place for a cheap date. Larger groups run into the problem of having space found for them, but I've found that parties of three or four don't have too much trouble getting in. The platters are ...

Pambiche is a bright colored restaurant serving all sorts of flavorful Cuban food. I had the Cuban sandwich, which consists of layers of cheese, ham, and a fried croquetta. My friend had a rice and shrimp dish with a red, glazed sauce. Seating is limited and it can get crowded so avoid arriving at peak hours or you might have ...

Service is a little funky...the guy who seated us was cold at first and then warmed up later on. The waiters were hit or miss, not sure if that's just a normal Portland vibe or not, but we got the idea that they were annoyed when we asked what was good on the menu. I think overall in Portland we ...

What do you get when you combine a tapas bar with a French dessert / macaroon shop? Pix brasserie of course. Was only here for the desserts, which are amazing, especially the the award winning Amalie. Great service and ambiance, and very hip vibe. Will be back

Every time I'm in Portland I make sure I go to Burgerville, often for my first meal. It's fresh beef with local Tillamook cheese. The milkshakes are the real thing and thick, and, if marionberries are in season, you can try the local treat. This burgerville is across the street from the Convention Center.

Specializing in local farm-to-table fare and microbrews, the farm tries to recreate a rural ambience in an urban environment, and they do quite a good job at it. Popular eats include smoked salmon deviled eggs and pan-fried trout, as well as plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. They also serve beer, wine, and cocktails and even make their own bitters in house.

A quirky Portland favorite, this music-themed coffee house is famous for its good coffee, delicious treats, and smattering of fun-house tables that turn or rise imperceptibly while you dine and chat. For added fun, don't mention the tables to your companions when you take them there and watch their faces when, halfway through their sentence, they realize their coffee cup ...

As a fellow Southerner, I find Screen Door's southern food to be legit and delicious. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I eventually became a fan. Screen Door takes southern classics such as biscuits and gravy and shrimp and grits, and uses the Northwest's love of organic produce to achieve soulful yet refined gastronomy. I recommend the mac ...

One way to beat the weekend Breakfast crowds is to go really early. Screendoor is probably the best Southern restaurant in Portland. And that's saying a lot since I'm from the Dirty South! Biscuits with sausage gravy, cheese grits, fried oysters....yum. The food is delicious. Be forewarned however, this place can get insanely packed. Arrive early to avoid the long queues.

Good quality at great prices! Sushi trains can often get expensive quickly but in this place nothing was more than $3 and most dishes were only $1 or $1.50. Even at those prices the fish seemed to be quite good quality. The salmon was buttery and the spicy tuna was very flavorful. And if you don't see what you want ...

With McMenamins, some locals might see a regional chain among a plethora of more interesting choices. Ah Portlandia! After visiting a number of their establishments, I'm reminded of the huge Pappas chain in Houston. Both that Bayou City family and the McMenamin Brothers have their various concepts and execute them consistently well. And for those lucky enough to enjoy their ...
