Gayle and I just happend to wander past Restaurante B&B during our 1 evening in Cascais. No, the B&B in the name doesn't stand for bed and breakfast -- rather for bom and baratoa, meaning good and cheap in Portuguese. The little eatery lives up to its namesake. But like other places in Portugal, this is a cash only establishment.
And what a find! It's small, romantic, and Gayle's octopus was excellent. It's slowly cooked in the oven for about 2 hours before it's lightly grilled in olive oil and fresh herbs. I had some sort of "Arentinian" steak dish which was equally delicious. And of course there was their nice choices of Portuguese wine to go with it all. We also enjoyed watching the cook put is all together and spending a long Honeymoon weekend together.
