I stayed here before their recent remodel, which looks amazing, but even back then: two thumbs up for this great hostel. The positives: amazing location (right on the main drag of the city, so very close to lots of restaurants, shops, bars, and activities in Reykjavik), great staff (everyone was really friendly and helpful), pretty comfortable (I stayed in a 4-bed room; it wasn't very big, but I didn't spend much time in it and the beds were comfortable enough for me to sleep through my alarm, causing me to almost miss my flight to Amsterdam), and great atmosphere (they foster a true hostel vibe, and the hostel generally feels alive and fun). The cons: this is more about Reykjavik than the hostel, but ack! It's so, so far from the main airport.

The best budget friendly place to stay in Reykjavik downtown. It's quite noisy at night because of the nearby bar, but there's no place cheaper than this in downtown. Location is great as well. Close to Bonus (popular supermarket in Iceland) and harbour.

Central location. Knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff. Cool, social bar/area to hang out. (Welcome drink included, nice touch.) Kitchen available. Rooms decent enough. Also good value in an expensive city.
