This hotel was very comfortable, reasonably priced and we really enjoyed our stay. The central location was great - we were 2 blocks from the tourist office where all the tours leave from and lots of restaurants, the rooms were simple but nice, and the staff was friendly. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Note: This review is only for the restaurant I have never stayed at this hotel. This restaurant is considered of one the absolute best in Iceland. This is a high class place that serves great food. The wine selection is very good probably the best in Iceland. The interior has been the same in decades and it along with all ...

The best budget friendly place to stay in Reykjavik downtown. It's quite noisy at night because of the nearby bar, but there's no place cheaper than this in downtown. Location is great as well. Close to Bonus (popular supermarket in Iceland) and harbour.

Descent hotel with an excellent location in Reykjavik. There are 5 center hotels so pay attention to which you're staying at as its relevant if you're taking a bus and being dropped off at the destination. Staff is friendly, breakfast is complementary (and descent) and the layout is kind of confusing. It seems the hotel has been expanded and it's ...

Best place I've ever stayed at. Couldn't possibly recommend it enough! It's central, clean, cheap and well organized. The owner is helpful (as is everyone on Iceland). To top it all off you have your own apartment with a bathroom and small kitchen (well equipped to say the least). Perfect for a stay in Iceland. I would never book anything ...

Absolutely beautiful Hostel. Very clean, friendly staff, and great décor. A friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in a private room. During our stay we met tons of other travellers and locals in the bar downstairs. Definitely get the breakfast it is well worth it.

I would give this hotel 4.5 stars if I could. A great hotel in the center of Reykjavik and located on a quiet street just off the noisy main road (as a side note, the location shown on google maps on this page is incorrect). It is within walking distance to a lot of great bars, restaurants, and other attractions. ...

I arrived back in Reyjkavik last Saturday after a great week up North on an Earthwatch Expedition near Mývatn and the Krafla and Askja Volcanos (with a side trip to Grimsey Island). My flight from AEY to RKV was smooth, but I decided to take a cab to the hotel rather than schlep around luggage on the city bus. I ...

Good middle class hotel the center of Reykjavik. Very well located in a buzy but car-free shopping street (no parking or stopping in front!!). i has a restaurant but if you don't like that or like to check around, there are numerous restaurants, coffee houses, etc; in 5 minute walking distance. Most of Reykjavik can be reached on foot from ...

The strength in this Guesthouse is the Owner, and his staff. Breakfast is include in the price. The location is perfect. It is in the heart of Reykjavik but not beside some noisy pubs and clubs. Just walking distance away from everything! Their rooms are cozy and it has this certain feel of wanting to live in it like forever, but ofcourse we can't do that since we only booked for 3 days.

First of all, let me just say that I spent 8 days in Iceland and it was without a doubt the best week of my life. It is such a beautiful/amazing country. I am SO freaking jealous of you- I'd love to go back!! I hitch-hiked around, which is very common there, but most people rent a car and circle ...

Very cute bread and breakfast that is on a farm. The best lamb stew I've had was homemade here. It's located about an hour and a half south of the city center. If you are taking a road trip down south, make a trip here!

This is my favorite hotel in Reykjavik. The suites are very large rooms for Iceland and are the most modern facilities I have seen in Reykjavik. The food in the hotel is also very good, especially the breakfast buffet.

Located in the up-and-coming downtown harbor district, the Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Marina just opening during the Spring of 2012. It strives to deliver different kind of authentic Reykjavik experience, by synthesizing the city’s rich maritime history with its colorful, vibrant and modern present day culture. The Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Marina is probably the only hotel in the world where you ...
