All I have to say...one will NEVER go hungry visiting Richmond BC. There are so many different types of restaurants at many different price points...opened at all times of the day. Thanks to the Canada Line Skytrain that has been placed in service since the Winter Olympics in 2010, getting into Vancouver is a breeze if without a car. Hotel rates in Richmond which is very close to YVR is also quite reasonable making Richmond area a viable option to stay when visiting the greater Vancouver area.

Richmond is part of the greater Vancouver area with a history of agriculture, fishing and ship building. It's an inexpensive place to stay while still accessible to Vancouver and also a great place for seafood.

Nice town outside out of Vancouver that has a large Chinese population presence. The roads are big and there is a lot of great eats here. You'll surely gain a few pounds after you leave "Eat Street", which is what they call the small stretch of Alexandra between Garden City and No. 3 Road. We stayed at La Quinta at the end of Alexandra so it was really convenient for us to get to all the great restaurants.
