Excellent cocktails and great decor. The drinks take a bit of time to be made, but they're really good.

Great place in FiDi to grab some drinks with friends. Neat interior/space. There's the long bar when you walk in and on the back there's more tables and a smaller bar. The upstairs balcony has a nice view of the whole space. Fills up quickly on Friday and gets packed. You'll have to be patient to get your turn at the bar. They make a wicked drink though! Nemeans Cup was good!!!

Rickhouse is an amazing bar with fantastic drinks and a cool theme. Opened by the team behind Bourbon & Branch, it embodies the speakeasy theme with an emphasis on whiskey. From the punch bowls with frozen fruit ice cubes to the Sazerac, everything is great. For those watching their wallets, the J.J. Russell—like a Manhattan with a greater hint of cherry—is only $8.

Beer is probably the least inspiring purchase here and, if you're ordering from your seat, you may have to wait as long as a cocktail for it. Additionally, peak nights draw the crowds. Come during the weekday to see Rickhouse at its best.

Great spot for a well mixed drink or a good selection of draught beers!

Great bar - good music, cool crowd. The space itself is cool - with dim lighting, tall ceilings and exposed brink walls. Pretty hipster crowd. This place is pretty popular - we had to wait outside for 10 mins to get in, but it was fun enough we were glad we did.

Jazz on Mondays -- just do it. Less of the after work crowd and more romantic in this dim lighting while you sip on those delicious craft cocktails. Or you can go crazy on those rum bowls. No judgement here.

A good bar, though I'm not as much a fan of it as everyone else is apparently. It's a very good bar with great drinks, but it's a little too small and a little too crowded for me.

The space is awesome, modeling itself after warehouses that store barrels of whiskey. There are two bars, two levels, and bathrooms that are apparently too hard to figure out how to open if you get sloshed on some of their fantastic hard cocktails. I suspect the pair who shared an entire punch bowl next to us may have fallen victim to getting "locked in." Remember how you closed the door after yourself when you first went in, people!

If you're a fan of cucumber infused tequila, get the Campos Cooler. It's especially perfect during hot Indian Summer nights!

This place tends to attract the ditzy and the douchey, along with the cool and casual. But, the crowd is friendly enough, and the bartenders are amazing especially Ricky!

Rickhouse is a lovely place to drink. It has a swanky upscale vibe but also packed with lots of character. Definitely digging that futuristic yet oldschool dark barrel house decor. It offers everything I could ask for in a cocktail bar - friendly staff, cool bouncer, chill crowd, tasty cocktails and great live music.

Add this to your next bar hopping list. You won't regret it.

Love love love this place and would totally give it 5 stars if it weren't for the roughly 15 minutes it took the bartender to make a gin and tonic. That being said, they take their time because they know what they're doing. I love the ambiance too, and for all the times I've been there it hasn't been completely jam-packed like many other FiDi happy hour spots.

**FABULOUS COCKTAILS AND HAPPY ATMOSPHERE BAR**

    Friendly and lively ambiance.

    Hipsters abound.

    Best bartenders around.

    Tasty, well-made, and reasonably-priced (around $8) cocktails.

I had two and I was buzzing hard.

I had four and I could not remember my name.

There was also a back room with another bar with lounge couches and an upstairs area.

Difficult space to maneuver if one was drunk.

Bathroom was *interesting* with a sliding door. But hey, it was clean.

One of my favorite bars in the city.

    Stay thirsty, my friends.

    RECOMMEND.

Came here late one night after another big event. I was dressed up and couldn't change, and this place has a very relaxed vibe.

However, trying to enter, we were told that the bar was filled to capacity. (I was a bit miffed, as I wanted to go here because there wasn't a ton of people milling about, or in line trying to get in for the last 1 hour of drinking like so many popular Tenderloin area clubs.

I peered inside and there was easily enough room to allow entry, as there was nobody in the hall way in front of the bar, so you didn't have to squeeze, bump and grind to get in, like so many other meat markets. BUt they said when someone leaves, we can enter.

I said, no, I am leaving, because that is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Standing on the corner trying to think of Plan B, a few people left, so they let us in.

It was late, but it seemed the bartenders were more interested in making conversation with single ladies than taking our drink order. And we were sitting right in front of two of them. So for you lonely bar flies, come here about midnight for some attention.

We finally got to order a Martini and a soda, $6. The bartender was non-challant about taking the money, too. Busy talking.

There is a huge wall of liquors behind the bar, a long narrow space, an area in the back, and a loft upstairs. The bathrooms use sliding wood doors that leave a large crack even when closed.

The vibe is relaxed and pretty down to earth, with little pretension or primping by the crowd.

Nice place, if you can get in and order a drink!

Great cocktails, cool ambiance, and very knowledgeable and friendly mixologists. Go with a group for a great night, or find a small table for 2 in the back for a more romantic setting.

Contemporary cocktail joint without the condescension. Take a leap of faith and let one of the helpful bartenders make a suggestion.

This place is absolutely one of the best cocktail bars in San Francisco with a really cool speakeasy feel. But no need to worry about a password :)

Cool bar with a nice selection cocktails, along with a full bar housed inside a beautiful space filled with wood and exposed brick. Definitely one of the more interesting choices in the area.

Description

With a Wild West (but classy) flavor and better-than-typical bottom shelf, Rickhouse is a unique bar perfectly poised to attract the young professional crowd on their way back home. Delicious, well-prepared cocktails take a while to concoct, so sidle up to the bar and get cozy, or try you luck at the bar in the back!
