Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

The Arena Hotel in Copacabana stands out from the crowd with large mirrors on all sides which reflect the sunshine and its close proximity (literally a stone throw away) from the beach. If you fancy a change from the beach the Arena has a cozy swimming pool on the roof where you can watch the world go by and gaze ...

Good! - 79% of guests recommend

There are four El Misti hostels in Rio! Walk out of Siqueira Campos metro and you will be looking directly at the outside of the interestingly decorated Copa Misti Hostel. The downstairs has a large lobby which may somehow remind you of a students flat with various old couches, magazines, and flyers for parties left strategically positioned so guests can ...

Was in a bit of a hurry choosing a hotel, so really happy with my choice. Right on the beach, in the heart of Copacabana. I took a room w/o a view to save money (R$320/night), but it's clean, safe, has free Wifi (.4 Mbps down, .9 up), lots of friendly help, concierge, free breakfast that's actually quite nice. Still ...

    Leblon Palace Hotel

    Leblon Palace Hotel

I stayed here my third trip to Rio De Janeiro, back in 2004. I loved Leblon Beach, which is the same stretch of sand with Ipanema Beach. From the beach you can see two twin peaks to the south. I remember paying only about $100 per night, probably with today's prices I think it would be about $225 - 250. ...

Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

Castelinho38 lies in the artistic area of Santa Teresa in the centre of Rio. You can walk up from the Gloria metro station in around 20 minutes although this is not recommended if you have heavy suitcases - unless you are training for the Olympics or hiking Mount Kilimanjaro due to the steep hills and winding roads. As the name ...

Set on the Bohemian Santa Teresa district is the colonial mansion Solar de Santa featuring five rooms adorned with balconies and furnished with 1950’s apparatus, which are all set on beautiful hardwood floors. The service is certainly memorable, and Internet is not complimentary. The refreshing pool is the center of attraction onsite.

Good 3 and 1/2 star hotel with perfect location. The roof top view was amazing, overlooking Copacabana beach. It was back in 2003 that I stayed here for 2 nights. Great hotel and great location for the price at the time.

This is a an association of bed and breakfasts, in the alternative district of Santa Theresa. It's more bohemian and laid back than the posh Ipanema, and you get to stay in beautiful old colonial homes, with amazing views. Prices are really reasonable.

California Othon Classic is based at Copacabana Beach. The hotel is a bit dated and run-down. However, it is due for renovation within the next several months, so hopefully it will look more modern. Regardless, if you want a stay at a hotel right by the beach and are on a budget, then you might consider staying here.
