The exterior of the building is worth a pause; the inside isn't. Originally this was a four-story apartment building. In 1935 the owner removed the top three stories in order to rid the building of shabby apartments with struggling tenants. After the remodel, Bank of America became the building's sole tenant. The exterior of today's building appears much as it did following the remodel. As for the interior exhibits, walking Hollywood Boulevard will give you a better view of "all things strange."

Not a bad spot to kill 15 minutes on the Venice Boardwalk.

Description

The Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum in Los Angeles, California is truly one of the most unusual museums in the continental United States. Located on the world famous Hollywood Boulevard, this collection of oddities and artifacts features two floors of family friendly exhibits and displays. Robert Ripley was an eccentric cartoonist and world traveler who delighted in all things bizarre and unusual, and his incredible collection of stories and relics formed the foundation for Ripley Entertainment. This particular museum is conveniently found within a stone's throw of both the Hollywood Wax Museum and the Hollywood Guinness World of Records. From a two-trunked elephant to an eight foot “Bumblebee” Autobot Transformer model made entirely of used auto parts, there are over 300 exhibits currently available for your viewing pleasure.
