Don't take my word for it, ask Nicole Kidman.
About halfway through my (spectacular) meal at this tiny restaurant in San Gimignano, I looked up from my plate and noticed a picture of Nicole Kidman sitting at the same table as I. Imagine my surprise!
This little bistro is really something, though. The tiny window in the back looks out over the Tuscan country side. The restaurant only employs 3 people, so service may be a little slow, but the food is absolutely delicious and authentic.
Italian tip: Order the Pici. It's a thicker hand-made noodle that is a specialty in the Siena area. This restaurant does it better than most. Don't neglect an appetizer-- perhaps a caprese salad; simple, but the tomatoes are fresh and the mozzarella is meaty and flavorful.
All this and it doesn't break the bank, either. I'm pretty sure my entire meal (caprese + pici + wine) was around 12 euro. You really can't go wrong!
