If you're able to splurge on your trip to Maui, do it here. With super luxurious accommodations and the ocean as its backdrop, this is one of the top hotels on the entire island. The grounds are immaculate and the hotel is completely updated with modern amenities. Service is top notch and you really get what you pay for.Recommended for:

The Ritz is very nice, but the location is a bit far north for my liking. It is a bit windy on this part of the island, and I have found the beaches to be less desirable than those found in Wailea or Ka'anapali. Having said that, the resort was updated a few years back and it is simply gorgeous. If you are planning to visit Hawaii for golf, this is likely where you will want to stay. The spa is also very nice, and there are some great restaurants nearby, including Sansei sushi.Recommended for:

The Ritz is an exercise in full on extravagance. They pride themselves in quality on all fronts. In the main lobby there is a super chic bar and Kai Sushi, a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant that claims to be the best. Smiling people were waiting in the wings to help with anything we needed. Employees were almost too happy with their jobs. We seriously wondered, “is something in the water?” We were escorted to the suite, which featured mahogany floors and the fluffiest beds I’ve seen to date. The bathrooms displayed an impressive amount of granite and sweet smelling cut flowers. Even from our room, the cascading pool was a majestic sight. The Gym was better equipped than most up-scale clubs I’ve seen. Views verged on something from a Technicolor Alice-in-Wonderland dream. There is also $200 per night deal for locals! Hit it up!Recommended for:

I love the Ritz properties and as they go, the property here is top notch! A great part of the island, no crowds and beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff, but, missing several signature Ritz touches (no chocolates on turn down, no newspapers, no Ritz honey and jams for breakfast). While small, this lev of detail has distinguished them for years, so it was disappointing to see them slip.

The rooms at this hotel are so huge that the basic rooms are like suites.
It is on a bluff and if I have one criticism it would be that because of the location it is always windy and I dont mean a little wind.
It is so windy it feels uncomfortable.
The food and the service are top notch.
I can also say that there is a resort feel and not the stiff feeling you get from most Ritz Carlton's.Recommended for:

I know the Ritz Carlyon as a vender of musical performances more than as a guest, but the attitude and creativity of the workers and management are instrumental in providing guests the delightful experiences for which they fly thousands of miles and pay thousands of dollars. The Ritz Carlton in Kapalua has attracted an amazing staff of dedicated workers who deeply appreciate the extremely beautiful environment on a daily basis. The hotel is spread over a large area that includes many striking natural enviromments interspersed with convenient and luxurious guest facilities. The lobby entertainment is superb, and the agencies that provide group events draw from most creative performers on the island. The Ritz Carlton is the perfect choice for any size group: a romantic hideaway for two, an extended family wedding celebration, or an international business or professional conference.Recommended for:

Hawaii at it's best! The luxury of this destination is it's location! Away from the maddening crowds, with it's own beach and lovely grounds. It's almost like being in a secret nicely, surrounded by whispering iron wood trees. Great Hawaii fusion food complemented by world class wine surrounded by the beautiful Hawaiian countryside. My idea of heaven.Recommended for:

If you've been living on Pluto for the last century (which is no longer a planet... sorry), then you're probably not familiar with the Ritz-Carlton brand. However, if you've been living on Earth (which is still a planet... hooray), then I'm sure you've heard of this hotelier and have probably fantasized about spending a night in one of their majestic properties - I know I have and still do today. Well, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, located on the northwestern edge of Maui, overlooking the famous waves of Honolua Bay and perfectly situated to allow a 360 degree view of oceans, islands, mountains, volcanoes, sunrises, sunsets, constellations, migrating whales, golf carts and many many beautiful and wealthy people, doesn't disappoint and may be the nicest hotel on the island. Aside from offering its guests top-notch facilities and services, its location is what really sets itself apart from all of the other properties north of Lahaina. Sunbathing, golfing, surfing, whale watching and sushi eating can all be done without motorized vehicles. And if you're feeling lazy, which I'm sure you will be, there's complimentary shuttle service to anywhere in Kapalua.
This Lahaina property has a private beach. Dining options at The Ritz Carlton, Kapalua include a restaurant and a bar/lounge. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Recreational amenities include a golf course. Also located on site are an
