The rooms at The Ritz come with butler service and feel like what one might picture Katharine Hepburn's county house might look like. Although, I doubt Katharine Hepburn's country house had the flat screen TV and i-pod dock that now come with the rooms at The Ritz. At night there's either a pianist or a harpest playing in the lounge, and all the art on the walls is original.
The location is good; it's on a side street right off of Jalan Bukit Bintang so It's quieter than some of the hotels right on Jalan Bukit Bintand but it's still right in an area is known for its food hawkers, clubs, and shopping. It's a ten minute walk to the monorail and Pavilion mall, which is open late, is just a couple of minutes away.
My only complaint is that in this price range it seem stingy to charge for internet in the rooms.

Nice hotel in the living heart of Kuala Lumpur: right in the center of everything, its easy to just walk to the main touristy area like Chankat and Bukit Bintang! The hotel it self is classy and comfortable and has a nice lil swimming pool between the busy city skyscrapers of Kuala Lumpur.

The Ritz-Carlton has a very Old English Imperial feeling to the atmosphere. It is as though when you walked into the place the whole building has gone back time to the 1900s. I like the lobby lounge because of the chairs have high back support which makes me laze around the lounge longer than i would have. The swimming pool is very funny looking because i don't know whether it's a design or it's squares all jumbled up together. There is a two seater sofa in the room which is really cozy. The entertainment rack there breaks the ambience as if new technology are not supposed to be in such an atmosphere. If there is a fireplace and also candles around i would say it is a really awesome honeymoon suite. Although located at the bustling heart of the city but the people who roam around the area is lesser than the people roaming around the other hotels. Maybe because it is a little bit faraway from all the other hotels and shopping complexes which is better to keep the ambience so people can have more privacy. The gymnasium was good and someone is actually utilising that place.
