This hotel use to be a bank and is a historical building. It's your typical Ritz, classy and swanky. There was an awesome cigar bar called The Vault which was actually in the old vault. I believe its closed though. The room are exactly what you would expect at a Ritz.

Nothing like the elegance and warmth of the Ritz. Ad a little bit of art deco lighting to the lobby and you have a contemporary flair to the elegance. In the evening the rose colored lights and the acoustic guitar music help to mellow out the day.

Every once in awhile a very special person (me) meets a very special place (the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia). What happens next is magic. I love this hotel. It's built in an old, but oh so grandiose downtown bank building. It feels like a palace, and the staff treat you like royalty. I'd come to Philly just to stay here and not leave the hotel. Seriously, it's that cool.
