The multilevel condo we saw loomed above Park Avenue and the shops on Main Street. It had fantastic natural light that streamed in through the huge windows, and the light could easily be dimmed by the extensive curtains. Unlike many of the other loft condos, this one had two balconies that were functional for more than just the view. The lower one had a hot tub perfect both soaking those sore muscles and for watching the riffraff below as you enjoy an evening drink. The living room and the bedrooms were spacious and livable, and the kitchen with its quaint breakfast bar also felt nice and inviting.
Sure the location is really great, but the service was so-so. The desk clerks seemed a little underwhelmed with life, which felt out of place among all of the other cheerful ResortQuest employees we had met along the way. While this wouldn’t be my favorite location, it definitely met all of my needs and would work well for a group ski trip.

River Mountain is about a block and a half from the bustle of Breckenridge's "downtown" Main Street intersection. For goings on in town, we love this location! The concert center is two blocks south, the bridge to Main Street two blocks east, and the ski run from the top of the mountain just across the street.

Our arrival into the lobby could have gone better. It was kind of unlit for 10:30 in the morning, and there was no one staffing the front desk. Soon after we got there a very friendly and young staffer got us pointed in the right direction.

This time we experienced a studio room (motel-styled) with king bed. Although the shape and size was fairly standard as motel rooms go, it was really cozy and nice, with a big big King bed, plenty of pillows, with just enough room to fit a comfy leather chair and ottoman. Although our view was out to the road, we didn't notice any noise.

Both of us like to get in warm water after shredding the slopes all day. The hot tub, sauna, steam room, and exercise room are all in a single room. They looked great but the steam room and sauna were under repair. The pool is inviting, heated, simply STEAMING up into the cold mountain air and in the Lodge's courtyard. No complaints.
Many of the units here have kitchens. The young guest services person told us that the restaurant downstairs was "closed" and that the owner didn't intend to open. Hmmm.

We're not that hard to please so we enjoyed the place, and we ALWAYS enjoy the slopes at Breckenridge. Some who are more detail-oriented, however, might come away wanting more.

The condo portion of the River Mountain Lodge is a great choice for a moderate luxury stay.
The condos were smaller than others I have seen in Breckenridge. The kitchen was small, the coffee table was small enough that it seemed more formal than functional.
They also had an outdoor pool and jacuzzi area in the center of their cement courtyard.
All of that being said, the condos are very homey. They have two levels, and the natural light is enhanced by the many windows, mirrors, and a skylight!
The condo I saw had two balconies, one on each level and the balcony of the master suite had a private hot tub!
The best word I can think of to describe the condos is quaint. Although not as large as other choices, these condos had a comfortable feel to them.
