Oh, wow. Add Roam Artisan Burgers to my list of favorite burger spots in San Francisco. Roam uses ethically sourced meats, grills them nicely and puts them on well-prepared buns (huge for the burger experience). Other options include veggie burgers, ostrich and buffalo, and gluten-free options (special buns or lettuce wrapped). Pair your delicious burger with a pint and your stomach and liver will both be in harmony.

Love the burgers- my favorites are the french and the fry and the bbq burgers. I also love the shakes (they have pumpkin right now which is the best) and the fries. It gets really crowded so make sure you allow time for waiting for a seat.Recommended for:

On a burger hunt recently, and this place hits the spot!! What can I say about this burger joint? It's simply awesome!!! You can eat Bambi (Elk)!!! J/K! but all joking aside, this place offers some tasty burgers of different meat varieties and styles that are mouthwatering and delicious!
Elk/Sunny-Side Style: Organic Free-Range Egg, Aged White Cheddar, Caramelized Onions, Greens, Tomato, Sweet Chili Sauce. This burger is delicious. Bambi tastes good!!!
Bison/Heritage Style: Applewood Smoked Bacon, Fontina, Butter Lettuce, Tomato, Caramelized Onions, Herb Mayo. Delicious. The bacon goes excellent with the bison. Not too gamey in my mind.
Turkey/French & Fries Style: Truffle Parmesan Fries, Gruyere, Avocado, Caramelized Onions, Watercress, Dijon Mustard. The mustard adds a nice contrast to the meat and adds a delicious sweetness and tang to the palette.
Salt & Caramel Milkshake: not too salty and thick. It tastes like a "light" milkshake, if that's even possible.
The Fry-Fecta: includes Russet Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and the Zucchini Onion Haystack. Great side to go with all those burgers!
If you're a burger enthusiast, this is one destination you have to go to. Try all the free-roaming meats. This is not like any other typical burger joint. Enjoy the exotic burgers!Recommended for:

I got the French and Fries Turkey Burger. Quite possibly one of the top 5 burgers I've had in the city. So juicy, flavorful, and comforting. Everything tastes so fresh. Huge plus: they have sweet potato fries!Recommended for:

Now this is what I call a burger.
There are so many restaurants in SF which are claimed to serve the best burger in the city, and I think Roam is a true contender. The prices are decent for what you get, especially if you end up getting a specialty meat like Elk or Bison.
I got the Sunny Side Bison Burger, which is everything that I love in a burger: tender, juicy bison meat with a (must-have) sunny side egg. I forget what else was even in it, because that's all I really care about. The flavors were awesome and the runny egg yolk made every bite explode with tasty goodness.
I ordered the Fryfecta, but the cashier misheard me and I ended up with just the truffle fries. The truffle fries were okay, but I wish I got to try the sweet potato fries that everyone talks about.
All in all, Roam is definitely one of the best burger joints I've tried in SF.

This is my favorite burger place in San Francisco. They only use grass fed beef and also feature Elk and Buffalo. There are a mix of burger creations, as well as the option to choose everything yourself. I tend to go for the smoked bacon and blue cheese. I also recommend the parmesan fries.
There's a good mix of tables both inside and outside, along with a bar and communal table.

Best burger ever! I have been wanting to go here for quite some time since i heard about it. I got the Tejano Bison burger and it was delicious; the meat was cooked perfectly and the bison meat paired wonderfully with the sauce that was in the burger.
It is not for a big groups though. it was hard for my friends and i to find seating for four, we sat at different spots until people moved and then moved together afterward.
