Pricey but exceeded my expectations. Great location and full service including nice gym. An old monastery that still has a few monks (diffenrent entrance). Try the beer that the monks have been making since 1887 -- excellent brew! First class in every respect. Quiet and heated floors in bathrooms! Restaurant was quality as well but quiet and serious

    Prague Castle

The views from Prague Castle are just gorgeous. Unfortunately, I visited it as a young thing who was more interested in the local pub than history. However, it stuck with me that at the time Vaclav Havel, the hero of the Velvet Revolution, resided there. A lovely combination of beauty, history and revolution.

The Charles Bridge is the historic and tourist center of Prague. The Bridge Tower hovers over the eastern end of the bridge. Typical of the city's medieval architecture, the bridge tower is crowned with spires. Pedestrians can walk through the gateway at the base. Artists and beggars tend to be equally thick here.

As a Lennon fan and fellow "dreamer", seeing this wall was my main reason for going to Kampa Island. It's delightfully hidden away from the masses, on a quiet street behind the park, shaded by tall trees. There was a small group gathered when I got there, but the guide jabbered on about the history (in Spanish) and they moved ...

Also called pragues eiffel tower, you have a really great view from its top, when the weather isn't to cloudy. You can go there either by foot or using an old cog railway, which is pretty expensive though.

A highlight of the Prague Castle complex - a small street with preserved historical houses selling items from the historical period and also tourist souvenirs and snacks. In a city that never disappoints it's another thing to check out.

This may be the coziest jazz club you've ever been in. The cave-like backroom forces you to sidle up to strangers and lets you sit right under the noses of the musicians. Not the best acoustics—but what do you need that for when they're playing just a few feet from you?

Very cool place right next to St. Nicholas Church. You'll probably be solicited to go see a performance by street vendors in the area. I wouldn't have paid them any mind if it wasn't for a friend telling me about these types of concerts. It was five stings in an hour long concert that was pretty amazing. It didn't seem ...

This is a temporary exhibition space which is used for a variety of different shows. The Decorative Arts Museum sometimes brings some of its prized possessions out of storage and puts them on display here. While you are here, there are also plenty of other interesting things to see at the castle.

The Old Town with Teynkirche in the background. Prague is one of the best destination (the most romantic place for me) in Europe, not only because of its attractions (e.g. Charles Bridge, The Prague Castle, Petrin Tower), but also because of the warmth of the CzechPraguian. ☺☺☺

Amazing, Awesome, a must see....the best time to see it is at noon...12 apostles go around and the skeleton pulls the rope. It dates back to 1410! The square is very crowded, but worth the wait .
