    Mecenate Palace

    Mecenate Palace

    Class:
    6 reviews
Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

I liked everything about the Mecenate Palace except the American style (read: strong) air-conditioning. And I realize that is probably a big plus for many of my fellow Americans swimming in the soupy air of a hot Roman summer. Cold blasts aside, the Mecenate Palace has elegant, lovely rooms which are stylish without being overwhelming. The service was similarly professional, ...

Most elegant but also cosy and comfortable with a little terrace from the bedroom overlooking an internal courtyard, surrounded by the city, round the corner from the station and all sights. The hotel has the most beautiful terraces which they call their hidden treasures, surrounded by plants and sheltered from the city chaos you can sit out there and read ...

Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

The rooms are large and pleasantly decorated and the hotel is full of interesting features with all its art and modern decor. Its good to be in an area that isn't the classic old Rome you see in the tourist books and its good to explore the lesser known areas of the city. Stations and busses are all close, so ...

Small hotel but clean and centrally located. Its a few minutes walk to Piazza Navonna and we were even able to walk up to Via Condotti and Via del Curso up to the Spanish Steps! The Catholic Church was also walking distance and lots of cafes and shops nearby. Breakfast buffet (15 euros) was varied and good.

    Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese

    Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese

    Class:
    4 reviews
Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

I didn't expect to find such a peaceful hotel, away from noisy traffic so central in front of the Villa Borghese and very close to Via Veneto. The Spanish steps are only a short walk away. Decently sized, clean room but with carpet - comfortable bathroom, the furnishings are somewhat unexciting but still pleasant. I recommend the rooftop terrace with ...

Elegance, style and genuine character - it’s reputation goes before it and it’s everything it is said to be - pure luxury at the top of the Spanish steps - i am not surprised my grandfather spoke so highly of it and he stayed there in the early 50’s and i grew up hearing about it and had to see ...

I found this hotel rather formal and impersonal and rather brown and grey… but all very clean and essential - no great views but more than adequate to rest comfortably and have a good breakfast. it was a little noisy but it’s in the centre of the city with all the church bells and traffic sounds that Rome offers… its ...

    Hotel Romae

This hotel isn't bad. The location is excellent, and the rooms were modest but comfortable. The hotel is very close to Termini station so it is great for those who want to get to the airport with little hassle or get out and about. My only quibble is that the hotel shares a building with a half dozen other B&B's ...

Behind a busy street, it’s a little hotel but incredibly central walking distance to the Colosseum and close to Termini station - the room had no view, it faced the inner well of the building but we were told there are others on the front - even with a balcony if you request it - but really, all you need ...
