Finding a great hotel in Rome is not easy, but this hotel really surprised me. It's just a block away from the Santa Maria Maggiore -- one of Rome's most important basilicas. There are some other important things to see. Best of all, the hotel is just a short walk to the Vittorio Emanuele metro stop (linea A) that can ...

I've not stayed here but I have been here for cocktails. Great location and an alternative to the Intercon and the Hassler. I would probably stay at the Hassler though. It's a truly great hotel whereas this is a promising boutique hotel in the same spot.

Beautiful building and wonderful location, very smart. A little noisy but central and convenient, very close to Forum, Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps and all the historical sites. Fantastic terrace with views over the city, a perfect place to relax and escape the chaos below. Staff mostly helpful. Room a little small and bathroom quite uncomfortable. Good restaurant with wonderful ...

This hotel is not far from the Spanish Steps and the famed Caffè Greco. It's a very upmarket establishment in Rome that obviously caters to the wealthy. There's very little to complain about. Nice furnishings. Modern. Clean. Lots of amenities. Attentive staff, but the moment you step inside it is as if you are not in Rome anymore. If you ...

Arrive in Rome at night, be dropped off in front of this fabulous building on one of the most famous streets of the Eternal city. The hotel dates back to the 19th century and it still retains its antique charm with frescoes on the ceiling, very tastefully furnished with authentic antiques. Although the windows are sound proof i think its ...

On recommendation, I took my wife to Rome for her 60th birthday and we stayed seven days at the Hotel San Carlo. The hotel arranged to have Gianni, a contracted driver, pick us up from the airport. The room (#76?), one of their best rooms I am told (marble throughout), was comfortable, luxurious, quiet and very clean. In fact the ...

Suggestive hotel, recently refurbished in modern design all in excellent taste set amongst interesting art work. This is a nice four staff hotel near the Colosseum. The location is amazing, for sure, putting you near the Colosseo Metro stop and the many buses that pass by that connect to other parts of the city. The terrace is an added bonus, too. The area is heavily trafficked by tourists, and I was really put off by this. ...

The hotel was not what we were expecting for a 4 stars hotel seen at their website. The rooms were clean and very spacious, however the decor a bit old-fashioned, the matrimonial bed was huge. You walk along a marble cladded tunnel following a sculpture, like a river of light along a white marble wall - beautiful. When entering the hall, you realise you are between the sacred and the profane… a hotel acquired from an ancient convent, in fact we are in a deconsecrated church, you can see the old floors and the vaulted ...
