In the heart of the city, it’s perfect and intimate and beautifully decorated and if you look out the window there it is; the colosseum! Even though it’s advertised as a hotel on gay street, this is perfect for any couple, it’s romantic and couldn't be more convenient. The staff are helpful and give you advice for all the best ...

    Hotel De Russie

    Hotel De Russie

This is a very distinctive property. The hotel feels like a modern Italian villa but is located in the heart of the city near the Spanish Steps. Staff are very attentive. The rooms are perhaps small for the price but are well furnished and the public areas are lovely. Food is overpriced.

    St. George Roma

    St. George Roma

    Hotel Class:
    4
    5 reviews

The Hotel St. George is extremely modern and clean with an overall designy aesthetic based on hard lines. The suspiciously good-looking staff seemed to be entirely young men. (No problem there!) The huge restaurant is split up into lots of smaller groups of tables and nooks such that it feels more intimate. That said, the whole hotel is a little ...

    The Beehive

    16 reviews

A quaint little place to stay-- not really a hostel, but not quite a hotel. They have nice private rooms as well as hostel-style shared rooms. They also have an annex a few blocks away that has apartment-style accommodations. Whatever you're looking for, Beehive is a charming and relatively cheap place to stay in Rome. It's nicer than a hostel, ...

On a hill overlooking Rome this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Pillow menu, double quiet rooms, a breakfast buffet that is incredible are just some of the reasons that this Hilton is worth the money. They have a shuttle that takes you down into the center of Rome and brings you back. We stayed using ...

I stopped into the Boscolo Exedra wanting to speak to them about bringing a group of people to stay, and they barely gave me the time of day. I had a quick look around, and yes, it's a beautiful hotel with soaring ceilings and a great location. In my book, however, it's the service that counts, and I unfortunately thought ...

My first trip to Rome was a whirlwind experience with a very cold 48 hours to experience the city. I wasn't planning on spending a lot of time in a hotel since the priority was to be out getting lost in narrow alleys, gawking at ruins, and fulfilling my quest for the perfect cup of Italian coffee. Colors was an ...

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. Beautiful hotel, very centrally located - walking distance to the Spanish Steps and the Villa Borghese. The rooms were big and comfortable, service was great (they even left a bottle of champagne in our room for us). Would definitely stay here again.

Shadowed by its famous next door neighbour, this hotel offers the same fabulous location above the Spanish steps on Via Sistina. The location is splendid, but if the room is facing the street it can be quite noisy. You can request a balcony and a view, in fact you can request anything you want and it will be granted - ...

    Hotel Forum

    Hotel Class:

I felt like a true aristocrat staying at the Hotel Forum. Dark wood and velvety chairs, and gorgeous lithographs of historical Rome on the walls combine to create a really classic, refined atmosphere. I really enjoyed chilling with my book on the roof terrace, another exercise in formal Italian style with its white tablecloths and red roses. My room was ...

This is a pretty typical European hostel, with a few extra amenities that set it apart from the rest. The rooms are relatively clean-- you won't be finding bugs or messes (at least not in my experience, or in the experience of anyone I talked to while staying here). There is a bar in the hostel, which makes it really ...

    Hotel Donna Camilla Savelli

    Hotel Class:

This convent / hotel is a wonderfully secluded historic landmark just steps from central Trastavere. The building and courtyard are exceptionally nice. Rooms are also quite nice by European standards. Service is pretty rude but, at the price point, this is an incredible value for Rome. Note that breakfast runs out quickly and they may not replenish. Avoid street facing ...
