Leave your diet at the door because it is time for Chicken and Waffles! You can never have too much of a good thing. Homestyle waffles with southern style fry chicken.
When I first walked in didn't feel like I was walking in to a restaurant. It felt more like I was walking in to Big Momma's house or a piece of history. I am a sucker for butter fluff waffles and Denny's and Ihop just can't compete. Combine that with deep fried chicken. YUMMMM! A good Heart Atack on a plate. There is no better way to go out if you ask me. If you aren't a big eater or can't take the grease you may think about sharing a plate, because the food is quite heavy and delicious.
I love how this is convenient located next to KFC. Roscoe's thank you! Thank you for the great food and hospitality. Highly recommend if you want to try something different in the Pasadena area. Only con is I am about 50 miles from this location and I want Roscoe's after writing this review.

Definitely not health food, but when you need some hot, delicious, fried comfort food, this is the place to go! My family lives not far from this location so I can only speak for this one, but the food is great, the place is always busy, and the service can range from indifferent to slightly friendly. We always order and pick up to go so the service isn't too big a deal, but I still think they could be a little nicer when you order at the the front of the restaurant. A smile never killed anybody, people! The food is kinda pricey, but since most human bodies shouldn't have this kind of food too often, it's worth the splurge. The chicken is always perfectly breaded and fried- not too much breading, great seasoning and spices, and the meat is always piping hot and juicy inside. The waffles are huge, with a delicious hint of cinnamon. As for sides, the smashed and smothered potatoes are a hit, and I love the candied yams. I think the mac and cheese is pretty good, but it's literally swimming in oil. So plan your cardio accordingly and enjoy a little Southern comfort cooking!

Roscoe's has been in Pasadena seemingly forever, but I'm only now trying it. It's my first experience with a chicken and waffles place. I had the "Obama's Special", which used to be the "Country Boy" until Obama ordered it and everyone started asking for what he had, which is three wings and a waffle. The fried chicken was really good and the waffle was excellent. I found the mac and cheese a bit bland and the biscuits a bit rubbery. Their hand squeezed lemonade is really good.

Classic Los Angeles eatery. I used to frequent this spot when I lived in LA. There are many locations, but the Pasadena spot is good because it has more tables and room than the others.

This is the first Roscoe's that I have tried and I instantly fell in love! Who doesn't love some good old fashioned soul food? Before Roscoe's I would settle for KFC or Popeyes but after biting into their succulent, tender fried chicken I don't think I'll ever go back to the fast food restaurants! Service can be a little slow since the place gets packed around lunch and dinner times but it's usually no more then 20 minutes.

Yes, the hype is true. Roscoe's house Of Chicken & Waffles is bomb dot com. Why? Because fried chicken and waffles makes perfect sense! Ask yourself these questions....Do I love fried chicken? Yes?!....Do I love waffles? Yes?!...Wouldn't it be great to have 2 things I love to eat at the same time? Absolutely brilliant!
Dont forget to leave your health conscience at home. It would get murder at a place like this. Don't worry, its not cheating if you work it laterrrr.
Great food + on point service = great place to eat!

Can't hate on Roscoe's...
everything here tastes good
theres a couple things I have to add to my plethora of reviews though...
you will find on the menu two kinds of fries...
According to the staff fries alone is for when you eat fries and only fries and costs $7... where as the cheaper one is cool if you eat something on top of that as well....
and unfortunately I found something that I do not care for....
there's a liver omelette... didn't quite agree with me

Not exactly your prototypical breakfast place, but seriously... how can you not like Chicken and Waffles! The syrup at 'scoes is off the hook. If you don't feel like fried chicken, get the Jeanne Jones Omelette ... the richest omelet you'll ever have!
