I never thought I would compliment a 'fast food' joint's chicken this way - juici-cious, tender, flavorful with a mesmorizing chili sauce to die for. This is the place to go for Portuguese chicken in Montreal, the place has gotten quite the following, the never ending line that goes straight out the door right up to closing time is evidence enough. Their chicken entrees, comes in all sizes in multiple of 1/4 with tasty crunchy fries and salad, comes out to be under $10 or an entire chicken for sharing between four people for $24, what a steal. The chicken itself is extremely tender, every string of meat down to the last of breast tastes juicy, no evidence of dryness at all. The sauce was delicious, it reminds me a little of the flavor from China's smelly tofu, slightly spicy and full of flavor. We inhaled the meal in under a few minutes. If you are at or around Mont Royal, stop by and grab a meal from this famed place.Recommended for:

Honestly, I could eat this every freaking day if I had my way. The prices are amazing for the amount of food you get! There is usually the most ridiculous line up so call and place a order before hand! (it skips you a 30 min -1 hour wait).
Best Portuguese chicken place ever.

This Portuguese chicken shack and bakery is considered one of the best restaurants in Montreal, and is something of a local legend. It has a dedicated cult following that goes bonkers for the juicy chicken, crisp fries and fresh made desserts (go fo the pastel de nata, this from a Portuguese man!)e

What kind I say about this place other then BRING A BIG APPETITE! I have never had fast food takeout where I was inclined to ask them to give me less food then they were going to. For $9 Canadian, you get a whole half chicken(sooo juicy and different then traditional rotisserie chicken), some salad, a brick oven roll, and finally all the fries they can fill in the rest of the take out container. So yes, anyone who visits Montreal needs to try Romados at least once! Happy eating.
