Rouen, France is a medium sized medieval city with cobblestone streets and half timbered houses. One place to enjoy a traditional French crepe meal is at the Creperie of St. Romain.
Another great place to go to is the St. Marc Place market on Sundays. Smells of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, cheese, sausage, and flowers drift through the air daily. After shopping for food, stop at a local bar in downtown Rouen called Le Son du Cor, 221, Rue Eau de Robec 76000 Rouen,
to eat and enjoy a couple drinks. The bar has a relaxing atmosphere with outdoor seating and spacious booths and tables inside.

Great medieval city with much history. Beautiful Gothic churches, one which Monet painted 28 times in different lighting situations. At night it's lit up and his paintings are shown on it. The tower where Joan of Arc was incarcerated is still standing. You can also see the spot where she was burned at the stake. Very interesting.

Lots of things to see and do here and there are many walks and tours available. It's most interesting how Rouen is such a significant place for Joan of Arc who ultimately died here. A really nice day out.

This is the capital of the Haute-Normandie region of France and of course the place where Joan of Arc met her fate. It is fairly large city of the banks of the Seine and also has an incredible cathedral where Monet was inspired to paint a number of canvases. We took a walking tour of the city including the site where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake.
