For now, the best place for me so far! Here, A.
I do not like to spend much on acccomodation, and prefer to spend it on outings. So this cheap youth hostel, quite central, next to Hyde Park (squirrels!), and not so far away from Primark on Oxford Street (Real Fashionista I am!) seems like perfect to me! How could you find cheaper than £9 pro night (without creepy crawlies and with hot water please)?
There is still some downsides : you share a bathroom for 6 beds, the deco is quite old fashionned, and you must pay for lockers. But still pretty awesome for me...

I would recommend the Royal Bayswater ONLY if you're on a tight budget or looking to save some money to spend on other things in this very expensive city. They cram too many beds in each room, the rooms though not really dirty are below standard, the staff (mostly Eastern European kids my time there) is somewhat rude. This hostel has two things going for it: excellent location at the northwestern end of Kensington Gardens (Queensway tube) and a price that can't be beat (where else can you find a room for $15 in London?). The good outweighs the bad for me personally but, again, I wouldn't recommend this place to everyone.
