The place were Fonteyn met Nureyev! Cheap tickets are made available on the same day of the show.

This is a wonderful place to visit, and the English Opera is world-class! Be careful about booking your sets, tho. I booked what seemed to be a great seat, looked good from the chart on the website, and ended up with an obstructed view. But, still a beautiful opera house with world-class talent!

Beautiful venue, full of light and high ceilings - modern and at the same time classic. The performance hall is absolutely gorgeous. Pale blue ceilings with molded, ornate carvings painted gold. Red velvet everywhere you look, the seats, the curtains, I can't do it justice with words. I saw the Royal Ballet perform here, they danced beautifully and brought a ballet I thought was stale (firebird) to life like I had never imagined. The prinicipal dancer had jete's so light and lofty she did seem like a bird flying. Also saw an act from Les Sylphides. Beautiful, overall the highlight of my first visit to London.

The Royal Opera House (also home to the Royal Ballet and Orchestra) is definitely worth a visit if you're in London. The auditorium itself dates back to 1858 and the details are beautiful (I'm an architecture nerd!). The bar is also beautiful.

If you're strapped for cash, you can get standing tickets for £9 - and if you go to a Monday or Tuesday night show, you might be able to snag regular seats that are empty and worth 4 times what you paid :)....just like I did for the Onegin ballet!

A must see for admirers of the performing arts. Beautiful building with a cute little gift shop. A wide range of selections to choose the perfect performance for you to see, from ballet and other dance forms to opera and music. They were playing Sleeping Beauty, Manon, and La Traviata among others when I visited.

The Nutcracker Ballet — a must collect lifetime experience! This classical Russian production will lift your spirits throughout the year! It is one of the most magical and stunning ballet performances of our time; the dance of ‘the Sugar Plum Fairy” is probably the most remarkable act.

The Magic Flute Opera — The Magic Flute is a wonderfully entertaining experience. The plot is both incredible naïve and a perfect illustration of ‘magical realism’.
