When in New York...one must have a taste of Rome. This is one if my favorite Italian restaurants in the city and in my favorite neighborhoods. Love their Pizza, Pasta's , Salads, well pretty much everything. They also make great cocktails...Recommended for:

Rubirosa is low-key but trendy at the same time. I loved the atmosphere and it’s probably the best Italian I’ve eaten in NYC so far. One of the best chicken parms I’ve had and I loved the vodka pizza. The food was delicious, the prices were good, and I left stuffed – what more could you ask for in an Italian restaurant?Recommended for:

Had the classic pizza (thin crust) with mushrooms and sweet sausage and it was phenomenal. The sauce was on the sweet side and I balanced it out with a few red chili flakes for added spice. They have a small whiskey selection along with the wine which was a plus for us.

one of the absolute best Italian restaurants in the city. I often run in and get a side of meat balls and broccoli rabe however last time I had figs wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with goat cheese (SPECIAL - which needs to be on the regular menu) along with grandma's bricole and a small serving of spaghetti and meatballs - cant get enough of those and the spaghetti has the perfect textured and amount of sauce wrapped all up in reggiano cheese.
