For those who want to do up Waikiki in style a spot at the Sheraton's RumFire Lounge is a must! High style and high quality dishes including fresh local sashmi that can't be beat. Enjoy the great views with one of their many specialty cocktails and you'll have a night to remember.

RumFire is a pretty cool spot for drinks and bites. The service is amazing and the views (with the right seat) are killer. Thankfully my drinking companion has the eyes of an eagle when spotting a great open seat, and we scored a spot in the corner by the ocean.
Drinks are pricey. I recommend the individual cocktails and not the carafes, which came out mediocre. We appreciated that there are gluten-free and vegan options available with certain food items (be sure to specify that you want it as they are options and not the standard variation).
Service was incredibly friendly. I really liked our waitress; she was professional and very chill. The vibe is nice, but it's a more modern vibe and sort of takes away from the Hawaiian-ness of being by the beach. Still, it's a fantastic option to have. You can't listen to Hawaiian music all day.

it's hip, alive, great sunset views. there's live music and they have a decent price and selection for pau hana (happy hour). i just love coming here and watching the sunset and diamond head view on the other side.

RumFire IS hot! I came here for NYE dinner and their New Year's celebration. We did the 5 course prix-fixe dinner which was amazing! The Asian Fusion menu included:
- Lemon garlic sunchoke vichyssoise
- Jasmine green tea smoked salmon
- Firecracker shichimi prawns
- Chimichurri rubbed rib-eye medallion
- Druken chocolate soup, Grand Marnier
Everything was excellent, and we even got a chance to chat with the sous chef on the busy night. The price included cover for the NYE poolside party that followed out by the beach where we had the best view of the fireworks at midnight. What a fabulous venue! Lots of room to lounge and dance, and the ocean backdrop was incredible.
We had a blast meeting people from all over, including other visitors and locals. Everyone was buzzing and in good spirits so it was a fun time. The bartenders were understandably overwhelmed by the huge crowd, but giving too much attitude. Boo.
RumFire turned out to be one of our favorite hotel bars to hang out at throughout the trip. It's just gorgeous, and their mojitos are awesome. If you're there, ask for Mason, the resident "Bar Doctor." I took my Dramamine a bit too late one day when we went on a boat and got a tad queezy. After getting back to shore, we headed to the bar where Mason was working, and he fixed me up some bitters & soda and ginger ale. Mason's the man, he'll definitely take care of you.

A must on your vacation on warm beautiful nights, I hear it's a fun place during the day too. We came here with a group of friends at night and sat outside right adjacent to all the waves crashing against the wall. There isn't a lot offered for Happy Hour but the fact that they have Happy Hour late at night is a bonus, especially with a view like that. However, I'm not the only one who agrees because any day of the night you're there, it will be packed so keep that in mind.

Honestly, one of the best pina coladas I've ever had, anywhere. Rivals the "holy grail" pina colada I had at Pueblo Bonita Pacifica down in Cabo. The bartender was very friendly and made my wife a non-alcoholic lava flow since she was pregnant at the time.
We also were fortunate enough to see a fire dancer, who set up shop near the pool, and he was AWESOME.

This bar is located in the Sheraton and it's actually a whole lot of fun! They do clear a section out as a dance floor and it can be pretty crowded. It's probably geared for tourists (as most of Waikiki) but you do get a fun interesting mixed crowd. The drinks are a bit pricey but pretty good and they have a nice selection of "tropical" style drinks (things with umbrellas in it). This, along with it being right up against the water and pool really does give it a nice tropical atmosphere without actually getting your feet sandy.
