In an unassuming building on the west side of town this place had an impressive array of breakfast options. The pancakes were large and fluffy, I had their non traditional French toast (option of bananna or zucchini bread), they had a passable Mexican skillet and homemade cinnamon rolls. Portions were not too big, prices reasonable. It was very busy. Service was slooow and we had to practically tackle staff to order and for coffee refills for my crabby caffein-o-penic spouse. Kids were melting down by the time food arrived but they liked it.Recommended for:

Running bear is a great place to get a cheap and awesome pancake breakfast. We typically spend less here on a meal than we do at some coffee shops. Everything is homemade, including the oatmeal, cinnamon rolls, and hash-browns. The place is staffed to the teeth with little old ladies who want you to enjoy your meal and constantly refill your coffee. We have been here several times and will several more before we leave town next month.
