Great Midwestern city just south of the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. It has a lot of interesting history that most people probably don't realize. It was a vital river port moving trade between the great lakes and the Gulf of Mexico, and also played a critical role during the colonization of the West. Believe it or not it was the first non-European city to host a summer Olympics, and has also hosted a couple World Expos. Check out the iconic Gateway Arch, and enjoy the river front. If you are a baseball fan you are in luck, one of the greatest baseball franchises calls St. Louis home (Cardinals).

St. Louis is the city that history seems to have passed by, perhaps true to its nickname as the Gateway to the West. There's some extreme poverty here, so you have to be careful where you go. The downtown area is nice and there's a day's worth of things to see. I hear there's good BBQ to be found, but I'm still looking for it.

It was fun growing up there! I lived there from when I was four years old until I was eight years old. St. Louis sure has given me a touch of the urban life! My family and I lived in a high rise building downtown where I can see the city view on the 20th floor. Although the window faced the former Famous Barr where St. Louis Center used to be a mall. My nanny and I would walk there everyday while my parents worked whenever I'm out of school. I'd love to come back someday!

I've only been here on a layover, but didn't like it one bit. It was a big city that made you want to go back to the airport and wait for your flight there. The airport wan't bad, though. If you have to come here, then go ahead, but stay away otherwise.
