Blah my expectations were too high.
They don't serve lunch till 11 am so our choices were limited to the breakfast items.
For three people, we got the famous acai bowl, waffle and fruit, 99 poblano, and the stuffed croissant with rosemary bacon. We thought we ordered too much, but when the food arrived it looked so small. The wait was kind of long, so we were even more hungry and so eager to eat! I think I could've eaten all four things by myself o_o
The croissant is rather small and has a few berries on the side, served on a small plate. The 99 poblano was a little bland and needed some carbs with it. Should've got some bread! The waffle was my least favorite.. nothing special and the syrup had a weird after taste, like.. Fishy... :0 I tried it a few times to make sure I was not imagining an aftertaste.
Now the acai bowl was great! The smoothie part reminded me of the acai smoothie at Jamba Juice. It was so refreshing! The granola has a nice soft crunch to it and goes well with the smoothie and the fruit.
I can see why this place is popular.. it's healthy, tastes fresh, uses organic and wholesome ingredients, has cool art all over... I was just disappointed by the waffle and the portions... and because the line and wait are long, I did not want to order more. They are healthy portions, but my tummy was still hungry and so I was not satisfied in the end!
