All natural, locally sourced ice cream made in small batches. They have unique flavors like salt and caramel ribbons, honey lavender, pear and blue cheese and honey balsamic strawberry with cracked pepper.

Salt & Straw has developed a cult following in Portland, despite only having been open for a few years, and on most days you have to wait in line for a cone of their delicious ice creams. They are known for their odd flavors of ice cream (think pear with blue cheese and honey balsamic strawberry with cracked pepper). Salt & Straw use local, organic ingredients whenever possible.

I rarely get this excited about an ice cream place, though I do love the stuff. But Salt & Straw is in a class of its own. Where else can you get sea urchin meringue ice cream? The staff was excited about the flavors too. I loved the cinnamon snickerdoodle and pear & blue cheese. The olive oil flavor was surprisingly awesome. Worth the line!

You haven't had ice cream until you've had it Salt & Straw style. This place is like a mad scientists workshop with flavors like goat cheese marionberry habanero, honey balsamic strawberry with cracked pepper, and almond brittle with salted ganache.

If you are fond of sweets and ice cream, you must check out Salt and Straw. They have an amazing selection of uniquely flavored ice creams. I was able to try their Pear with Blue Cheese ice cream and the Meyer's Lemon Chocolate Sorbet. I have never tasted anything like these two flavors.

Salt & Straw serves delicious ice cream in various sorts of flavors. Beware of coming here when the skies are blue and the sun is out; you might have to wait in line. However, even if that happens, their ice cream is still worth the wait.

This place has the most amazing hand made ice cream! The lines are SUPER long in the late afternoon and after dinner. So....... go any other time but that! Worth the wait though! Super close to my house!

Great and unique ice cream shop on Alberta Street in Portland. The Olive Oil ice cream is really unique and very good. I enjoyed the Salted Caramel one, but lots of great flavors to try. Awesome place.

Their salty sweet flavours here are amazing. I got a single scoop divided into two flavours and it was almost too much to finish. The waffle cones are pressed fresh and line up's out the door! I just wish I got to try their affogato.

Your entire concept of what can be a good flavor of ice cream will get challenged here. There are flavors like lavender and honey, pear and blue cheese and mint chocolate chip with candied lemon.

This is the most unique ice cream place I have tried and really enjoyed the unique flavors.
