    South Beach Bar and Grill

    13 reviews

Sort of a dive, but the best grilled mahi fish tacos I've ever had. Probably the best thing I ate in San Diego, and it was only $2/taco during happy hour. You can't beat that.

    Prospect Bar & Lounge

    9 reviews

This modern, trendster joint has delicious snacks, people watching 'to die for' and interesting drings. Located on a second floor platform, it offers up beautiful views of the sea. The prices and service were really reasonable, too. Try the homemade Hummus, The Shrimp and Avocado Crevice and Street Tacos. Nom!

    The Waterfront Bar & Grill

The oldest liquor license in San Diego this local place is still standing even though the buildings around it tried to buy it. The local politicians even stood up for the owner to keep it running! A small sawdust-on-the-floor kind of place with good food and a good casual vibe not far from the water.

    Bj's Restaurant & Brewery

I've been here a few times, and my experience has been different every time. First, we had "okay" service while sitting on the outside terrace - our waiter was friendly and cute as a button, but our food took forever and was delivered cold. The second time, my mom and I came in during an off-peak hour, but were seated ...

    Tivoli Bar

Love the history of the bar, but the people working there have never been friendly. Also i prefer my beer in a glass rather than a plastic cup. I used to go to the tivoli before every pads game, bubs is now the new pregame spot.

    Tavern at the Beach

    2 reviews

A couple of years ago, they renovated the back of this place so there is now a larger bar in the back as well. Before, the wait for a drink could take a long time. This place is also more popular for the 21 - 25 year old crowd and not so much the older crowd. This is one of ...

    The Barrel Room

    2 reviews

The Barrel Room is tucked in the center of a shopping center in Rancho Bernardo. I would have never noticed it if I wasn’t looking for it. So keep your eyes open! This place is a must try. It reminds me a lot of 3rd Corner in Encinitas, which is also a wine bar and restaurant. There is a bar, ...

    Bankers Hill Bar & Restaurant

    2 reviews

This newish restaurant serves up fancy American food. The ambiance is pretty hip, so it's perfect for a date night or birthday celebration. It's been a few months since I've eaten there, but I do remember the mountain of french fries and my scallop dish, so that means they were good. They take reservations. Parking in the area is a ...

A great spot for beer or pizza lovers. Often busy, but it should as it offers excellent draft beer and tons of tasty bar foods. Great happy hour and my favorite are the raspberry lambic beers on tap!

Surpisingly good food for an Irish pub. Live music, TVs for sports games, nice patio out back, and friendly bar wenches! You cannot even get through the door on a Friday!
