    Casa del Prado Theatre

    12 reviews

Casa del Prado is a beautiful old theater in Balboa Park. The outside architecture and design is Spanish style, while the inside acoustics are perfect for chorus performances, small plays, and holiday presentations - especially around Christmastime.

    The Old Globe

    9 reviews

I love going to the Old Globe to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas every year. As a beautiful replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London, The Old Globe is an excellent venue for theatrical productions, musicals, and choral/band events. Plus, its location inside Balboa Park makes for a historic and elegant setting for any performance.

    San Diego Civic Theatre

    3 reviews

A compact little theater, but it packs a punch! Sitting in the vertigo-inducing balcony, you can see straight down to the stage without needing binoculars (but then again, I'm 23 with good eyesight) and the acoustics are strong. The floor and orchestra pit are well positioned so you feel closer to the stage than you are, and the theater is ...

    Full Moon Drive-In Movies

    2 reviews

This little gem in Pacific Beach is priceless! Bringing back the nostalgia of the 50s and 60s, movie goers sit in their cars and watch a special movie on a giant blow-up screen. The dirt lot is large enough for a busy night, the concessions stand sells snacks that are actually reasonably priced, and the sound for the movie is ...

    Joan B Kroc Theatre

    1 review

Went here tonight to see a dance show put on by Mesa College. The location was fancy for a community center theatre. Two guys had me take their pic because they wanted a pic of them at a "nice" place. Adorable. Bathrooms are very clean. Great seats. Great parking situation and getting out wasn't too bad though my friend and ...

    Diversionary Theatre Adm Off

Went here last night to see Anita Bryant Died For Your Sins (second production and the day before it officially opens) and enjoyed it. It's a small theatre, so it felt very intimate and the view will always be good no matter where you seat. I felt the production was very honest. No glitz and glam, lots of soul and ...

    Spreckles Theater

I was here Nov '11 for an AWESOME - KICK ASS Jason Mraz and Toca Rivera concert. When I read the reviews for Spreckels Theatre at a nearby happy hour spot (*La Puerta - Really GOOD), I expected a tiny place with dingy chairs. We get there, and wow this place is BIG and TALL. It seems like they really ...
