Marriott in La Jolla is located in the UTC area across from the mall and easily accessible from the highway. Do not stay here if expecting to be near the beach. They are remodeling and updating the hotel now. Careful of construction issues if staying (summer 2013)

A business hotel in the beautiful La Jolla. Well equipped conference room on-site facility. The room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities expected. The lobby bar was excellent and includes a very nice patio area. Staff is ready to provide a great stay for corporate guests. It's close to UCSD campus and walk in distance from Westfield UTC mall.
If you want to visit surround areas as downtown San Diego, Coronado, Pacific Beach you'll need a car. Cab fares are expensive and there are no many options of public transportation .

Concluded my week long stay in SD with two nights here. Alyssa was extremely helpful and answered any questions I had. The room was very spacious. They also honored my request to have extra pillows and towels there upon check in. Having 7 pillows on a king sized bed all to yourself is great! The small attention to detail--from the garage attendants addressing me by name, to when the bell desk employee gave me a shipping form when he saw that I was carrying a FedEx box, made for an enjoyable experience. You don't have to be an Elite member (which I found out I was to my surprise) to expect this type of treatment. The service from the staff here is impeccable. Love this hotel!
