A great museum...a little expensive and the expanded exhibits cost extra but worth a day trip. Also, all the museums in Balboa Park have a roving schedule where they are free on selected Tuesdays. A great date idea; visit a few museums and have a picnic lunch :)

It is truly unique, has great history, and is a fun place to visit regardless. The rooms are very nice, as is the service and the food.

The Marriott Marina is one of the more beautiful Marriotts in the family - right along the San Diego bay and near Seaport Village, you are only steps away from all the downtown and oceanfront action. The Convention Center is next door, the marina leads you straight into Seaport Village, or you can cross the street into the Gaslamp Quarter. ...

We were an hour early for our day drinking appointment at The Tivoli, so I motored around downtown, found a parking spot, and attempted to say hi to Rachel over at The Tipsy Crow. Closed. Never deterred from my mission, I grabbed Sarah's hand and we were off. North, then West, and in to the US Grant. Once seated at ...

I just drooled every minute I spent here. The beds are huge and soft, and swallow-you-up comfortable, which was a huge perk for me. And the hotel itself is huge, it's spacious, it's luxurious and yet tasteful, it's conveniently located, it's easily accessible...and the views are to die for. Especially in my room, on the 27th floor with a panoramic ...

I'm a big fan of the W hotels in general and this is no different. I went there for a friends birthday a couple years back. Rooms are small but nice and modern. And as always the bed is incrdible. I'm definitely going to get the "W" mattress (which you can buy on their website). On the roof there's a ...

Downtown San Diego, despite the city's reputation for being laid-back and "chill" (we all say "awesome" and "sweet, dude"), can be a bit intense with all the one-way streets, hordes of pedestrians, and heavy traffic. So when I arrived at the Horton Grand after circling for ten minutes trying to find parking and not run anybody over, I was rather ...

This is certainly a gorgeous hotel. From the gigantic modern lobby and high windows with views to the sheltered pool outside, the office building look of the front did not do this hotel justice. This is a great hotel! A former San Diego Bank Building constructed in 1928 and converted into a Marriott Courtyard. This is unlike any Marriott Courtyard that you have ever stayed in across America. It's clean, quiet, comfortable, and conveniently located on Broadway across the street from the historic Gaslamp District.
