    The Fairmont San Francisco

    The Fairmont San Francisco

    Class:
    71 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

On Nob Hill this is definetly classy and what I think of when San Francisco comes to mind. The hotel is a bit stuffy but the service is wonderful! The rooms are spacious with great amenities and it has everything. One thing I really loved is that the hotel has a car that will take you anywhere within a 5 ...

The W, a gorgeous hotel near just about everything good in SOMA. Want to go to a park? Go to Yerba Buena across the street. Feeling a bit Spanish? Go to Thirsty Bear Brewing Company across the other street for some tapas and flamenco on Sunday nights. Museum lover? MOMA is a block away. Room on fire? The firehouse is ...

    The Westin St. Francis

    The Westin St. Francis

    Class:
    54 reviews
Good! - 79% of guests recommend

Westin St. Francis may have the best hotel location in all of San Francisco. Directly facing Union Square, it’s front side forms one of the four wall of buildings enclosing the park. During Christmas, it’s even more beautiful as the building is illuminated in a dramatic fashion such that it serves as a wonderful backdrop for photos of the Union ...

    Clift Hotel San Francisco

Wow, such a great time. Amazing location, gorgeous rooms, great mysterious vibe to the whole thing. Number one choice for hotels in Union Square. Boutique feel without the tiny boutique sized rooms.

    Palace Hotel

    Palace Hotel

    Class:
    33 reviews

Whenever I'm here, I feel like I'm arriving for some turn-of-the-century debutante ball, or having a tryst with my railroad baron lover in 1892. I think I could stare at the Garden Court ceiling for a solid week before tiring of it. I had a first date once in the Pied Piper Bar (he got one full point, just for ...

    Hyatt Regency San Francisco

    Class:
    21 reviews
Very Good! - 81% of guests recommend

This is a review of the main space: This Hyatt is HUGE. In the main atrium area there is a big light sculpture hanging down from the ceiling. Check that out. Hotel as a whole is very convenient, being a block from the Ferry Building and in the financial district.

    The Ritz-Carlton

    The Ritz-Carlton

    Class:

Excellent! - 98% of guests recommend

Ok I'm just going to comment on their grilled cheese and raspberry drinks. The grilled cheese it the most amazing thing ever. It's something I dream about. I'm not sure the type of cheeses they use but they are spectacular with the caramelized onion. The raspberry drinks are some sort of muddled vodka concoction. The hotel is very beautiful as ...

I stayed for a night since it was a girlfriend's birthday Friday night. The room was clean and a decent size for SF. The room was clean and I liked the toiletries. They didn't give me a room on an upper floor (I was on 14)...if you want a nice view, request a floor higher up. If I stay here ...

    InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco

    InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco

    Class:
    16 reviews
Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

I've only stayed here once, but I think this place is better to eat at (at the Top of the Mark) or just drink and dance at, than to stay. There is a beautiful gingerbread house that looks like a mini hotel in the lobby during the holiday months - and that is great! However, for a luxury-priced hotel they ...

    Hilton San Francisco Union Square

    Class:

Good! - 75% of guests recommend

Located just 10 minutes walk of the Powell Street BART station, this is the usual Hilton hotel I stay at while in the city. I love the high floor views of the city, Golden Gate bridge and the San Francisco Bay. The bad: no executive lounge!

Hotel Vitale, a Joie de Vivre hotel

Been staying in this hotel for 4 nights and I must say the rooms are big enough. The shower bathroom is sized normally. The room is quite calm, so sleeping was good (except for the jetlag of course). Wifi is terrible - use the wire. There is a $10 option for faster internet but I didn't try it. Breakfast card ...

I competed in a marathon in 2010, the host hotel was the Omni. I have stayed in many Omni hotes before, however this one was by far the best. Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel

Fair - 73% of guests recommend

I really enjoyed my stay at the sheraton. It was just off the main drag of the wharf, which made it nice and quiet, but it was so close to everything that it really wasn't a problem at all to get to the restaurants on the wharf and in north beach. I really enjoyed the windowside desk in my room ...

I like this hotel for accepting a patron like me who want to simplify life, pack a backpack and drive to San Francisco. I wasn't dressed to impress yet I did not feel discriminated at all. The hotel is at the caliber you can expect from the hotel chain.

    Grand Hyatt San Francisco

    Grand Hyatt San Francisco

    Class:
    11 reviews
Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

I booked a staycation here just prior to moving to the city...the best thing about the hotel is location- it's right in Union Square. The rooms have been renovated so they are nice and new, but somewhat sterile and characterless. While decent, I still don't think this hotel is on par with the Grand Hyatt hotels in other cities.

    Hilton San Francisco Financial District

This is a pretty standard Hilton - nice but corporate feeling. It is right at the gateway to Chinatown and North Beach (both only steps away) - so a great location for exploring the city's diversity. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Parking is expensive!
