    Hotel des Arts

    Hotel des Arts

    Class:
    6 reviews
Good! - 75% of guests recommend

It's quite an interesting hotel. Every room was painted by a different artist. We got a pretty "dark" kind of room. We only stayed for a night and for that it was great. The only problem is that it doesn't have ac and it got pretty warm. The location of the hotel is great, right by Chinatown.

    Hotel Zetta San Francisco

    Hotel Zetta San Francisco

    5 reviews
Excellent! - 88% of guests recommend

Hotel Zetta is a fantastic hotel with a great mindset and a spectacular location. Almost all of the decor in the hotel is crafted from old materials (floppy discs, empty bottles, old vinyl records, etc.). The eco-consciousness of this hip hotel is immediately evident from the colorful lobby. The staff are friendly, the rooms are stunning and it's located a ...

Small, independent hotel just off of Union Square. Decent, clean, I'd stay here if I found a good rate and needed somewhere affordable. Check their website to see if you can get a good rate, sometimes you can't.

    Green Tortoise Hostel

    Green Tortoise Hostel

    6 reviews

The Green Tortoise Hostel is a great choice for anyone looking for a bit of adventure in their San Francisco stay. The property is surprisingly large given its prime North Beach location. While it may be steps away from some tacky strip clubs, it’s also really close to some of the best bars in the city (15 Romolo, in particular) ...

I've stayed here a number of times, every time has been pleasant. It's right on the edge where the powell/union square area meets the tenderloin, so it's really close to things but not too pricey.

A posh boutique hotel right in the Union Square area. The decor is very modern and chic. The bathrooms are nice with Philosophie bath products. We enjoyed the romance package with an extended check-out, champagne, and gourmet chocolates. I enjoyed my stay here.

    Le Meridien San Francisco

    Class:

Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

One of the nicer hotels in SF due to it being more modern and not run down compared to the rest that aren't located in SoMa. Located in FiDi with nothing going around at night, only reason to stay is for business reasons or accessibility to Ferry Building, perhaps Union Square and Broadway. Nice views of surrounding area due to ...

The Taj Campton Place in San Francisco offers a luxurious, comforting oasis from the hustle of Union Square and it’s avid shoppers. Located just off the square, this is a great place to duck into for a delicious meal or to call home for a long weekend. What stands out to me most about the Taj is the food. Chef ...

    Renaissance Stanford Court

    Class:
    5 reviews

The Stanford Court Hotel is one of the lesser known of the famous hotels on Nob Hill. (The Fairmount and Mark Hopkins being more reknowned). It is similar in that it has a lot of old world elegance, with a decorative facade, and old world charm and grace in the lobby. The rooms are elegant, but not luxurious in comfort ...

    Prescott Hotel

    Class:

Very Good! - 80% of guests recommend

Prescott Hotel is a nice place overall. The service is great, there’s a cool restaurant on premises (I had partied here once) and the appointments are top-notch. There’s a hint of datedness throughout, however, though the hotel does a great job at minimizing the age. Each room has modern amenities, they’re tidy and they’re elegantly decorated. What sets this property ...

The Cartwright Hotel (formerly the Larkspur), a boutique hotel, despite its modern and welcoming lobby, is located in an older building that brings you back into a different era of old San Francisco charm. There aren't many bed & breakfast style inns in San Francisco, but Hayes Valley Inn definitely stands out. The building is older, but feels like you're visiting your grandparent’s home. There’s a lot of floral décor and it feels like a country home – classic, and absolutely charming. Hayes Valley Inn is a European style bed & breakfast, so they ...

    Hotel Tomo

    Class:

Hotel Tomo is a cool hotel in San Francisco’s Japantown neighborhood. The area is very safe, providing quick access to shops and restaurants in both Japantown’s Miyako and Kintetsu Malls at Peace Plaza, as well as historic Fillmore Street. Cow Hollow is also walkable, though you’d have to go over some hills. Anime fans will love the decor here. From ...

Stayed here a few times. The last stay was on NYE. Great choice, as it was about a 20 minute walk to see the fireworks at the Embarcadero. Hotel is conveniently located walking distance to Chinatown, Market Street (shopping!), Soma, ...

This is a GREAT boutique hotel! Very literary and very comfortable. Each floor has at the entrance of the elevator a literary quote and each room feels like the parlor of some of the great writers! The Hotel Rex is centrally located to most mass transit and city attractions. Great for families as well as single or couple travelers.

Wind your way up the rickety stairs to this overly charming boutique hotel. In the heart of Italian North Beach, the hotel echoes the Beat movement that was a staple of this neighborhood. This hotel is a charmer like no other.
