    Philz Coffee

    32 reviews

Forget Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte. The ginger snap iced coffee at Philz is where it's at. It's a nice change from the ever so popular iced mint mojito, and definitely worth waiting in line to try.

    Absinthe Brasserie and Bar

    28 reviews

A cute little French brasserie, Asbinthe has an extensive wine list from which I only had time to sample a very nice Cava. The food is a good match, although not that French - I had a delicious heirloom tomato grilled cheese and my friends a fat, juicy burger. Close to the SF Symphony, it's perfect for cocktails and snacks ...

    Samovar Tea Lounge

    35 reviews

I haven't tried the food but the tea selection here is excellent. Seats are comfortable and the staff are friendly. Atmosphere is half Moroccan hookah lounge / half Chinese opium den. One of the few places I've gone to that has yerba mate. Would be better if they had free wi-fi.

    Le Cafe Du Soleil

Fond memories from childhood to adulthood as my family frequent the Bay Area to visit numerous relatives. But to explore this beautiful city didn't occur till I was older and my baby sister attended the prestigious USF and I resided in the Bay Area for a couple months for work. Well one cool Bay Area morning we made our way ...

    Espressamente Illy

    4 reviews

A great Italian-style cafe in the heart of the Financial District. The owner, Boriana, used to run an Italian foods shop in the Ferry Building. All her Italian love now goes to running this chic shop of cappuccini and pastries. No bathroom, but I believe there's one nearby.

Large, industrial modern converted building at the foot of Potrero Hill not too far from the Galleria design center and Concourse. It is large and spacious, with high ceilings, yet made cozy with a fire place, decor, and local artists' works on the walls. Equally as large is the rear patio, with a dozen tables, greenery, and sunshine. The brunch ...

    Bar Agricole

    10 reviews

Amazing drinks, delicious food and a great staff make Bar Agricole tops in my book of booze spots. We savored several amazing cocktails (the House Old Fashioned -- made with cognac -- is still my favorite), and dined on the Grilled Squid Salad (so good) and the Mussels (so flavorful). Our server, Eric, went above and beyond with friendly service, ...

    Beacon Coffee and Pantry

    2 reviews

Trendsters will love this place, but the regulars are more laptop freelancers and the neighborhood creatives. Very good by-the-cup coffee, free wi-fi, barstool and chair seating, good music selection, and plugs! Also a mini wholesome foods grocery and pastries/bagels. I love simple. I love this place.
