    Sightglass Coffee

    25 reviews

On a hipster scale of SF coffee shops, Sightglass is definitely in the highest quadrant, but don't let that stop you from paying this place a visit. I'll admit, there isn't much to see in the surrounding streets, but if you're in the area or you seek a cool place for a quick coffee meeting, this is the place. First, ...

    Bi-Rite Creamery

One of the most incredible ice cream shops in SF. The flavors are so unique. I had salted caramel, lavender honey and earl grey were my favorite flavors. The line is always pretty long, but worth the wait!

    Muka

    21 reviews

UPDATE (4/23) Muka is now a cafe (with free Wi-Fi), a wine bar, and a place to get amazing sandwiches and salads ($7 and $6 respectively) with flavors from around the world. Try the quinoa salad or the ham katsu sandwich, served on Acme bread. The Japanese roast beef sandwich is to die for. So good. The prices are really ...

    Philz Coffee

    32 reviews

Java by the cup, the way it should be. They have more coffee blends to chose from than Larry King has ex-wives. Friends don't let friends drink at Starbucks.

    Tony's Pizza Napoletana

    34 reviews

Tony's Pizza lives up its reputation as being a world-class pizza joint. They have five different pizza ovens (wood fired, coal, gas, etc) to make all the different styles appropriately. I've been going since they first opened and the quality is consistently top notch. There is always a long wait, so visit the slice house next door if you're pressed ...

    Zero Zero

    37 reviews

This place has a lot of hype around it. Maybe my expectations were too high. I liked it but was not blown away. It's a hip, lively atmosphere. The Cesar salad was really good. The thin crust, Italian style pizza was tasty, but not quite as unique as a delfina or a little star. Service was very good. Book ahead ...

    La Mar Cebicheria Peruana

    31 reviews

This is one of Peruvian chief Gastón Acurio's famous restaurants. I have no words for the Cebiches, they are divine, and so is everything else. For dessert, have an authentic suspiro limeño and you'll be fine.

    Sabrosa

    18 reviews

Great staff, beautiful interior and tasty food. Laura, the manager, is a joy to work with! Start with a signature margarita (strong and not too sweet -- perfect) and the trio of salsas or the guacamole. All are exquisite. Opt for the steak for your entree. The whipped banana side that it comes with is the perfect compliment to the ...

    Twenty Five Lusk

    26 reviews

25 Lusk epitomizes industrial chic. A place you'd more likely find in NYC than SF, it's the perfect spot to hit if hip and sexy is what you're in the mood for. The exposed beams and brick walls of this massive former meatpacking space are complimented by the futuristic floating metal firepits and sleek lounge chairs downstairs, which makes it ...

    Coqueta

    9 reviews

As a lover of all things Spanish, I was absolutely thrilled to hear about Coqueta's opening. I have yet to enjoy a full dinner there, but the taste of tapas I got during a work happy hour were more than enough to tell me that Coqueta is the real deal. While the prices may not be as low as a ...

    Jasper's Corner Tap & Kitchen

The food here was unexpectedly good, with plenty of great beers on tap. I was actually here for a wedding reception and they did an amazing job with the food, but also turning the tiny space into quite the dance floor!

    The House

One of my favorite spots in SF ! I have been going to The House for over 12 yrs and have never been disappointed. I saw that this place opened on a food blog, so I had to check it out. I love checking out new spots since there are so many spots in FiDi. They have almond milk here! :O yes, the soy or almond milk replacement will cost you extra ($0.50). They also have a pour over. I got an almond milk ...

    RN74

    10 reviews

Great restaurant with solid food. I'm mostly a fan of the atmosphere and setting. Designed as an industrial chic train station, it's a great place to celebrate an occasion or have a few drinks. Food is solid, yet expensive. Definitely a special occasion kind of place.
