    Tartine Bakery

everything tasted fine, just wasn't extremely impressed. had their lemon tart, seasonal bread pudding, tomato n corn quiche, and iced coffee. both the quiche and bread pudding were fluffy and eggy. fresh fruit on the bread pudding was delicious! iced coffee was standard, had to add my own sugar. overall also a touch pricey for my liking. takes card. community ...

    Mama's on Washington Square

This place has amazing breakfast/Brunch and in a great neighboor hood to explore and experience some real San Francisco. It is a SF staple although to avoid lines you should go 30min before they open. If you are okay with waiting in line then be prepared to wait 45min-ish.

    Dottie's True Blue Cafe

The food here is great - I would give it 4-5 stars. I had a frittata with avocado, corn, jalepeno, and tomato which was amazing. They have fresh bread baked in house which was also great. Portions were huge. The downsides? An hour plus wait to get in on a Sunday (it was not that good) and some fairly inattentive ...

Cha Cha Cha - Upper Haight

    20 reviews

I have to remember not go to here on a popular night. I've been here a few times, but I think it was the Haight location. It's been way too long to remember. Anyway, the food has been consistently good and I tend to try something new each time. Our spread of jerk chicken, fried calamari, cajun shrimp and sauteed ...

    Epic Roasthouse

Although the inside of this restaurant is beautiful, if the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting outside with a gorgeous view overlooking the Bay Bridge. We went just to have drinks but we ended up having such a great time that we stayed and had dinner as well. I'm so glad we did. I had the NY Strip with ...

This is a cute little gem in the Inner Richmond district. Very generous portions and authentic French cuisine. From Sun-Thurs they have an early prix fixe menu for less than $50 a person and the owners are always there to greet you with a kiss =]

    Park Chow

Park Chow is the go-to spot for, well, anyone. Located directly across from Golden Gate Park, Park Chow is a fantastic spot for a bite to eat, a meet up with friends, or even for people watching. With ample seating inside (it looks deceptively small from the street), small and large parties alike are easily accommodated. Their fare is varied ...

    Dynamo Donut & Coffee

Dude, can you say overhyped? I went way out of my way to come try these donuts, priced at $2.50-3.50 each. I'm not afraid to spend some moolah on a sugary baked good, but this donut was not only small, but dried out and barely had any flavor. Staff are super-friendly, and the mod wooden design looks cool, but I'll ...

    Universal Cafe

located in the east side of the mission, this place is pretty popular and can get quite busy for brunch. i haven't tried any other meals here. the house made ginger lemonade and french toast with orange marmalade and almond chantilly are big winners. i usually get a side of sausage (or bacon), not because i'm still hungry but because ...

    Slow Club

Burger w/ Gorgonzola = Delicious. The burger was perfectly-cooked at a medium rare and the bun was excellent. The gorgonzola added a nice kick, because I love stinky, moldy cheeses (if you're not into the stink, then you may want to stick with cheddar). Next time I'm going to ask to see if I can throw a fried egg in ...

    Squat & Gobble Cafe

I find myself here whenever I am in town. This is my favorite breakfast spot. I love their savory crepes and their dessert crepes as well. Their portions are huge. This is a busy breakfast spot, but if you're able to get a table by the window, you can definitely enjoy the interesting characters going through Haight & Ashbury.
