    Tartine Bakery

600 Guerrero St, San Francisco, CA 94110
    4.5
    73 reviews

Are you willing to stand in line, not get a table possibly and maybe watch them run out of what you want to order just before you reach the cash register? Then Tartine Bakery is for you. It's worth it if you're a baked good addict or aspiring pastry chef (they've already published two cookbooks, you know) and just want ...

    Brenda's French Soul Food

652 Polk St, San Francisco, CA 94102
    4.5
    35 reviews

Been here a few more times after my original review. I know!! In such a short span. I really need to branch out in my foodie adventures, but the last few times in the city, shrimp and grits is all I've craved!! This last time, my fellow foodie friend and I arrived a little after 3PM. WAY after the crazy ...

While I'm not sure its worth waiting in line for hours for....the French toast with seasonal berries is tasty. Wash it down with a Mimosa or Bellini and your day is off to a great start.

    Mission Beach Cafe

198 Guerrero Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
    4.5
    23 reviews

Whenever my friends want to get brunch in the city, the first place I suggest is Mission Beach Cafe. While chefs keep changing, they consistently deliver amazing food and service. The place is intimate, so there is often a wait on the weekends, but it's totally worth it. Lunch and dinner here is also just as excellent.

    Dottie's True Blue Cafe

    28 6th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103

    27 reviews

If the company is good, the wait for Dottie's isn't so bad. And there's always a line, even on weekdays. They offer a huge list of specials. Homemade toast and biscuits. Fresh squeezed juice. I ordered the Gruyère sweet potato tart and it was fantastic. Dottie's is one of the best brunch places I've been to.

    Park Chow

    1240 9th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122
    4.5
    16 reviews

Park Chow is the go-to spot for, well, anyone. Located directly across from Golden Gate Park, Park Chow is a fantastic spot for a bite to eat, a meet up with friends, or even for people watching. With ample seating inside (it looks deceptively small from the street), small and large parties alike are easily accommodated. Their fare is varied ...

    Epic Roasthouse

369 The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94105

If you like Bay Area ambiance, this is "thee" place. The wife and I had a gourmet meal next to the patio fireplace while gazing at the East Bay's night lights. This place is right next to the Bay bridge and right on S.F.'s Embarcadero. Come prepared to spend a little doe-rae-mee.

    Dolores Park Cafe

501 Dolores St, San Francisco, CA
    4.5
    16 reviews

Great coffee house. Very bright, with huge windows and a patio overlooking Dolores Park, one of the city's best sunny day hangouts. Good for brunch - they have a full menu, very reasonably priced - or just a coffee.

Great neighborhood place with really friendly staff--they served coffee to everyone waiting outside for Sunday brunch. The biscuits and gravy were so delicious, as was the salty bread pudding.

    Chapeau!

126 Clement St, San Francisco, CA 94118
    4.5
    13 reviews

At Chapeau! you'll have a dining experience like no other. It starts off with the confirmation phone call made by the owner Philippe's wife, whose excitement about your presence is truly sincere. When you arrive at the quaint little restaurant, don't be confused once you walk through the doors -- yes, you'll be shrouded in darkness by a heavy velvet ...

    Slow Club

2501 Mariposa St, San Francisco, CA 94110

I rarely make it out to this area, but when I do, Slow Club is one of the first places I think of if I'm in the mood for some good food. Still one of my favorite burgers in the city. I know that's saying a lot because there's so many options here, but they just do it right.

    Dynamo Donut & Coffee

2760 24th Street, San Francisco, CA
    4.5
    12 reviews

Dude, can you say overhyped? I went way out of my way to come try these donuts, priced at $2.50-3.50 each. I'm not afraid to spend some moolah on a sugary baked good, but this donut was not only small, but dried out and barely had any flavor. Staff are super-friendly, and the mod wooden design looks cool, but I'll ...

    Green Chile Kitchen

601 Baker St, San Francisco, CA 94117

I'm a huge fan of New Mexican-style food. If I don't hear "Red or Green?" when I order my food, something is definitely missing. If would help if there was a basket of sopapillas and a side of honey handy too. The Green Chile Kitchen comes close enough and is a very good alternative to driving all the way to ...

    Squat & Gobble Cafe

1428 Haight Street, San Francisco, CA

My wife makes it a point to make sure we eat here whenever we have a chance. I really like the eggless tofu scramble with potatoes and when we went last week, their water had lemon and mint in it. It's like they can read my mind. They have a nice variety (including many vegetarian options) on their menu. From ...

    Pork Store Cafe

1451 Haight St, San Francisco, CA 94117

Contrary to what the name makes you think, they have some vegetarian and vegan options! You get your food fast and it is quite good. I had the California Garden Burger, which I would recommend.
