    Mad Dog in the Fog

    6 reviews

Since they renovated, Mad Dog in the Fog has become much more comfortable. A large window makes the place more inviting, and you can see the huge interior from the outside. With lots of taps and a back patio area, it's a great place to hang with friends, eat some food, play some pool and watch a game.

    Edinburgh Castle Pub & Theater

    6 reviews

One of the few or only Scottish pubs in the city, this venerable institution has been around since my mum emigrated from the old country back in the 60s. Pig & Whistle Bar

Pig and Whistle is a Pub right off Geary from the Japantown district. I came here and got the sheperd's pie with a glass of beer. Washes down great and is probably one the cheapest spots in town. Can't go wrong here.

    The Cavalier

    3 reviews

Beautiful space and amazing drinks in the posh Hotel Zetta. The location is great (next to the Westfield and half a block from BART/Muni Metro). I probably won't be coming here too often as drinks range from $11-13. Great for a date or intimate dinner.

    Elephant & Castle

Trivia at Elephant & Castle is no joke (usually held on Thursdays around 6). It almost feels like a Jeopardy match - but in teams - and the regulars show up early to stake out a table hours before the game actually starts. But if you do manage to score a spot, you're in for a treat. The beer and ...
