Cool brew pub. Serve their own micro brews which are very tasty. Food is good as well. I've had the mussels, the pizza and the burgers and all were good.

Maybe it's cliche, but stopping in Ghirardelli Square just makes my mouth water! Amazing chocolate lives up to the landmark's name.

    The Cheesecake Factory

    51 reviews

Well...if you have to go to The Cheesecake Factory, this outpost isn't so bad. Take the elevator up to the top floor and expect a long wait. It's pretty much like every Cheesecake Factory out there, but if you can get a seat out on the patio or by the windows, the view is really quite lovely.

    Samovar Tea Lounge

    35 reviews

I haven't tried the food but the tea selection here is excellent. Seats are comfortable and the staff are friendly. Atmosphere is half Moroccan hookah lounge / half Chinese opium den. One of the few places I've gone to that has yerba mate. Would be better if they had free wi-fi.

    Little Star Pizza

    34 reviews

great pizza, especially their thick crust corn bread pizza. consider trying it with sausage, spinach and mushrooms, no cheese. there's so much tomato goodness on top, you won't miss the cheese! my lactose intolerant family and friends say it's the only dairy-free pizza you're ever going to love. great beers on tap, too.

    Hog Island Oyster Company

    30 reviews

Might want to come early, before you're hungry, because by the time you're seated you will be. I think we waited 30-45 minutes for a table for 4. We looked through the menu in line so we could order right away. We got the mixed plate of 12; they let us choose 3 different oysters instead of giving us all ...

    Zuni Cafe

If you come here, you must get the famous roast chicken -- order it as soon as you sit down because they are cooked to order, so it takes around an hour to get your chicken. We also had the endive salad, which was simple and yummy. The roast chicken did not disappoint: super flavorful and not dry at all. ...

    Mama's on Washington Square

While I'm not sure its worth waiting in line for hours for....the French toast with seasonal berries is tasty. Wash it down with a Mimosa or Bellini and your day is off to a great start.

    Wayfare Tavern

    29 reviews

Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern is beautiful, adorned with decor celebrating the history of San Francisco during the Gold Rush. Service was superb, as expected, and the food was really tasty. Note: I came here for a private event that let me take in the space, drinks and some small bites, so I cannot comment on the dining experience here.

    Dosa on Fillmore

    31 reviews

Wow! Southern Indian cuisine is a new food sensation for me and I am sold! The lamb dosa was delicious! Our starters were incredible, shredded duck, prawn chili fry and an continued supply of papadams. Warning the chennai chicken is highly addictive! Will be back to try a different flavor of dosa and more chennai chicken.

    Smitten Ice Cream

Nice concept and really good ice cream. They make the ice-cream on the spot with liquid nitrogen and you can see how it's made from the second you order your flavor till the second you'll get your scoop. They only have 3 or 4 flavors though...
