    Burke Williams Spa

    5
    5 reviews

Burke Williams in SF is amazing. It is a newer facility, introduced when the new Westfield was built in Union Square. The facilities are enormous, rich with amenities and staffed by a competent team. My girlfriends and I were looking for a place that could accommodate several people around the same time, with amenities like steam rooms, hot tubs, and ...

    Suchada Traditional Thai Massage

    4.5
    3 reviews

Thai massage is something like a combination deep-tissue and manipulation session, with your masseuse using elbows and fists, and bending you into a pretzel, to work out deep knots in your muscles. It borders on exquisitely painful at times, but the sense of looseness and relaxation when the session is done are amazing. That said, if you're looking to experience ...

    Mizu Spa

    4.5
    3 reviews

Mizu is a tranquil spot to de-stress and get pampered. Its minimalistic, industrial-chic interior is surprisingly cozy and conducive to falling into a deep meditative state. I've only been here for a mani/pedi, taking advantage of their early bird $15 off special. A Signature Manicure/Pedicure Combo is only $45, while a Classic Manicure/Pedicure Combo is $35 on Tuesdays-Thursdays before 4pm. ...

Hands down my favorite place to get a massage in the city, this charming wellness center is beautiful, ecological, and accessible to a wide range of people seeking body work. Hand Job

Randomly found this place as we had some extra time in the Castro. My girlfriend had heard good things so we went in to try. We only waited about 5 minutes and then all 3 of us got seated next to each other. I got a manicure and it was lovely. The nail polish lasted the longest out of any ...

    Deep Massage & Bodywork

    5
    1 review

Deep Massage holds some of the most skillful massage therapists I've ever experienced, and I have had many massages in various styles. Their specialty is massage work on injuries, esp sports injuries. In my case, I sprained my ankle and strained the knee on the same leg. Deep Massage was able to pinpoint the adhesion along the leg and open ...

    Thi Spa & Nails

The mani/pedi I had was fine, but what I really didn't like was the attitude of the owner. She was unnecessarily RUDE. You come to these places for a nice, relaxing time. But honestly, I didn't find that here. Oh well, there are 100+ other places to go to. On to the next!

    Imperial Spa

This is my favorite day spa in San Francisco. Yes, it eschews the more luxurious amenities, but it'll give you a taste of a Korean Jjimjilbang. The massages are more vigorous than at other spots, but sometimes that's exactly what I need. Also, you can have your skin scrubbed and be horrified at how much of your epidermis you can ...

This spa/wellness center combines modern design and luxury with classic spa services, to an indulgent effect. Especially good for groups, there's a large lounging room near the multitude of massage therapy rooms (each named for a healing concept) where guests are encouraged to sit and read and drink water and tea as long as they like. It's on the upscale ...

A very clean, sunny, well-done nail salon! What I like about this nail salon is its use of individual tubs for pedicures. Plus it has massage chairs. The ladies who work here are very attentive, kind, and do a fantastic job. I mainly opt for the nail polish brand, Zoya, for its reputedly less harmful ingredients which make it safe ...

Long story short... i snore. wait, allow me to elaborate... It's easier for me to relax after receiving a decadent manicure pedicure action, which in itself is sort of a mini massage. With that being said, coupled with an hour massage... I snore when I'm massaged I snore louder when I'm massaged really well Though I suppose that would be ...

This if for FACIALS ONLY. I've never really had a problem with the staff as some of the reviews mentioned. I bought a groupon for a 3 pack of facials. They were all decent, but overall I like the facials I received a the Paul Mitchell School better. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of the herb scented products, ...
